Smexy’s Top Ten–December 14th

December 14, 2012

Top Ten

In light of the tragic, tragic events in Connecticut, I have absolutely no desire to be funny this afternoon.

We’ll return tomorrow.

About Mandi

Mandi started Smexy Books in 2009. She is obsessed with romance books and has collected many fictional boyfriends along the way. The day would not be complete unless she has hit the '1-click' button at least once. Want to help her with this? Email her recs. Shes loves contemps (dark, erotic, funny, or just plain old vanilla), historicals, and anything m/m. If there is a PNR or UF that has completely blown you away, she would like to hear about that too. mandi (at) smexybooks (dot) com.

Oh thank you. I halfway wanted something to distract me when I clicked on your Twitter link but on the other hand it just seems wrong.

Hugs Mandi. I know you have school age children like so many of your blog followers. We all have a heavy heart today.

Nothing is funny today to me. My heart is aching for the entire community. As a mother, their pain is incomprehensible.

I understand Mandi. After taking Dad off life support a few days ago & the shooting yesterday, I don’t know if I’ll be able to laugh again for a long, long time. I’m beyond distraught.

Tragedies are terrible, but also a reminder that none of us knows what tomorrow brings. The best we can do is make the most of every day of the life we have, and share our love and dreams with those we love. Like you, I grieve for all of those suffering severe heartbreak after Friday’s massacre, but I’m forcing myself and my kids to celebrate the beauty of their lives even more.

Lol, that card at number 10, so true. Thanks for the rest of the pics as well, and I think that plastic man sure is not as cold as the tub in winter.
