The Hard Ink Crossover Bundle is part of the 1001 Darkest Night novella (standalone) series that grants readers some hot and sexy glimpses into ongoing series by their favorite authors.
Hard As Steel: A Hard Ink/Raven Riders Crossover
Hard as Steel helps to introduce the Ravens Riders (2016). The Ravens Riders have had a small role in the Hard Ink series but Kaye is now spinning off and creating a new world filled with alpha bikers and women they love. Kaye builds a strong bridge between the two series, using a situation within Hard Ink to being the MC into focus.
Focusing on two Hard Ink employees; piercer Jessica Jakes and tattoo artist/Ravens Rider MC member Ike Young, Kaye builds a spicy hot abet reluctant romance that has spent years building but takes a dangerous situation to push this couple past longing into loving. Strong dialogue, vibrant characters, and a solid story pulls the reader right in until the very end. My only dislike, which is also true for story #2, is the hero’s repeatedly screw up, beg for a second/third chance when they see someone else is interested, and in the end have to lose the heroine before realizing how much they actually love her. Not a favorite element of mine. It always feels a little lazy and manipulative.
“When we are together, everything makes sense.”
Hard To Serve: A Hard Ink/Blasphemy Crossover Novella
Hard To Serve introduces Kaye’s spin-off series-Blasphemy with its first installment. The series is based on twelve master doms who’ve come together to create an upscale erotic BDSM club that caters to any and all kinks. Intense and provocative, fans of erotic romance will the varied stories that focus on a dom who must find the courage to slay their own dragons if they want to catch their very own kinky princess.
Kyler Vance, detective and one of the owners of Blasphemy, finds himself at the mercy of, Mia Breslin, a gorgeous submissive whose kinks match his perfectly. Already in trouble for his part in helping the owners of Hard Ink dispatch an enemy, when he discovers who Mia’s father is, he finds himself pulled between his desires and his career. Bold and graphic, Kaye keeps her focus on this couple and pulls no punches in and out of the playroom.
“Funny thing about having choices taken away from you-it tended to make things all kind of clear,”
Eyes On You: A Blasphemy Novella
Eyes on You is the second installment in Kaye’s Blasphemy series and is an exploration of sexual voyeurism and exhibitionism. Set solely in this series, we don’t get the crossover effect in here. Rather, Kaye explores a young woman’s submersion into BDSM after she was made to feel bad for her sexual kinks and the man who not only assures her fantasies are okay but helps her to act them out…over and over and over again.
Wolf, one of the 12 masters and IT specialist, never thought helping to rescue a beautiful woman on a bad date would lead him to find his perfect match. But when he sees the beautiful oh so sexy Olivia Foster struggling, he immediately jumps in and discovers they have much in common. Hot doesn’t even begin to cover this couple’s sexual antics as Wolf pulls the submissive out of Olivia and shows her what she desires is perfectly natural.
“Somehow, seven days ago, he had been stood up and found in forever in one fell swoop.”
I thoroughly enjoyed these crossovers between Laura Kaye’s best selling Hard Ink, Blasphemy, and Raven’s Riders MC series. I think this little erotic bundle is perfect for introducing new readers to Laura Kaye’s work and give old readers a nice walk down memory lane. Plus, it is currently on sale for only $.99. W00T!
