I remember the Edith Layton trilogy being very good back 30+ years ago when I read them. I’m not sure how they hold up today—but can I just say it’s a chastening experience to see books I remember reading when they were first published in the 1980s?
I keep seeing these reissues I’ve read way back when they first released and I’m tempted to read them again and see if they hold up. So may don’t.
The Amazon link for Megan Hart’s Broken is…broken! It’s a reissue of a book I read some ten years ago. And, yes, @DDD, I understand your sentiments entirely.
Thanks for letting me know about the link! I’ll see if I can get it working.
@Kareni: it’s interesting to realize that when I first read Edith Layton, I was planning my wedding—and now my husband and I have been married over 30 years and our youngest kids (twins) are graduating from college in May (they’re at LSU—Geaux Tigers!). Throughout that entire time, reading—especially romance—has been a constant for me. But it’s amazing how fast the time has passed!
@DDD, congratulations on those upcoming college graduations! I’m with you on having been married for over thirty years.I’m trying to recall what I might have been reading about 1990…. The pile probably contained books by Krentz, Lowell, and Spencer along with a few Star Trek novels.
