Mandi’s March To-Be-Read
Let's take a look at what I want to read this month! Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs 3/8. While the past few books in this series have been a bit rocky, I'm hearing good things about this one. I still say Briggs' Alpha & Omega series is better and more consistent - but I'll always read this series. The characters are just amazing (unless Adam is being spineless with his ex-wife!) Goodreads l Kindle Hawke by Sawyer Bennett 3/15. This is book five in this series - and I've only Continue Reading
Mandi’s Favorite Books of 2015
I read 222 books this year, which is low for me, but I overall I had a pretty good year. Thirteen absolute favorites - four of which are paranormal, two m/m, and one that doesn't have a happily ever after (don't freak out!). Here they are in no particular order: Hold Me Close by Megan Hart - Dark, erotic, sometimes horrifying, sometimes uplifting. From my review: Megan Hart doesn’t make it easy – sometimes it’s horrifying. Sometimes it’s really sad. I’m not sure I smiled, but I was Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten – September 11
10. Man, it's hard to write that date in the title. We remember. We never forget. 9. My friend Pamela rec'd this one to me - and we share a very similar taste in books. C.M. McKenna is the pen name for Cara McKenna, an author whose voice I love. I read this and I liked it a lot - but - BUT - there is not an HEA at the end. For that reason, I guess I have to say this is not a romance book, although there is a romance (an extremely dark, messed up romance) in this book. While I think Continue Reading
Our 2015 Favorites So Far…

Smexy’s Top Ten – February 20th
10. Take a sip of your cup o'books and enjoy your Friday. (link) 9. It's always a happy day when Tessa Dare reveals a new cover and blurb! And what an adorable blurb it is... On the cusp of her first London season, Miss Madeline Gracechurch was shyly pretty and talented with a drawing pencil, but hopelessly awkward with gentlemen. She was certain to be a dismal failure on the London marriage mart. So Maddie did what generations of shy, awkward young ladies have done: Continue Reading
