Giveaway: Bound to Shadows – Keri Arthur

October 28, 2009 by Mandi 42 Comments

In the darkness, demons come out to play…

and someone must bring their sins to light.

Part vampire, part werewolf, Riley Jenson knows what can happen when vamps don’t play well with others. But she’s never seen anything like this: a series of brutal murders surrounding the latest hot spot for vampire-human hookups—and the victims aren’t just killed, they’re beheaded. Now Riley is launching into action, toying with a seductive—and highly suspicious—club owner, and finding herself in the middle of another mystery: women being killed one by one, without a trace of violence.

For Riley, solving multiple cases—in a world going mad with human and vampire passions—would have been tough enough. Instead she has two jealous lovers on her hands: Kye Murphy, the amber-eyed werewolf who makes Riley’s wolf blood howl—and Quinn, the cool, elegant vamp who has over a thousand years’ experience at fulfilling women’s desires. While she’s busy juggling these two sexy beasts, Riley’s detective work takes a stunningly violent turn. Finding a murderer is now a matter of life and death. Especially since the killer has long since found her…

Bound to Shadows by Keri Arthur is the eighth book in her Riley Jenson series. You can read the first chapter on her website HERE.

I would rather be a werewolf. Benefits: I'm alive, living forever is overrated (in my opinion, after a few hundred years, I think I'd get bored. I like dogs and wolfs and dogs are in the same family so I'd probably like wolfs (if they were just a little tamer). In this world the sex. Man, is there a lot of sex. I think I'd like that :-)

I'd rather be a vampire — they get an excuse to where fantastically goth attire, jet black hair can be excused and they can bend anyone to their will. Plus, I might bump into the likes of a sexy rock star vamp called Lestat (Well, why not?)

However, if I were a Werewolf, I'd smell like wetdog after a shower, catch fleas and maybe find myself waking up naked in a strange place.

Yes, I'd rather be vampire! But maybe a vampire in love with a werewolf?! Who knows…anything can happen in the land of fantasy. :-)

I'd have to go with vampire even though I love me some alpha werewolf men. I'm a wimp and changing forms sounds awfully painful.

The Native in me readily professes werewolf. I don't remember a time we didn't believe in shapeshifters or the ability to take on the attributes of an animal. Thanks! Indigo

I would much rather be a vampire. Even if it turns out that you can't go outside during the day, at least you don't completely lose control over your own mind/body like werewolves tend to… Plus, vampires are just so much sexier ;)

Thank you for the opportunity to win Keri's new novel.
I'd pick a vampire just for the reason of longevity – I would love to see how society & humanity evolve.

I would hate to be a vampire. Drinking blood is just icky. I would be the first vegetarian werewolf in the world. LOL Or perhaps I should be another shifter? I would love to be a cat but cat eat icky things too. Ok I would be a bad shifter. But it's still better than blood drinking. Oh, and I hope this shifting doesn't hurt cuz I'm a whimp and would have a breakdown every time.LOL
Hope you have a nice week Mandi!
