Mollie McGree is a girl many can relate too – a hips a little too wide, a butt that is a little too big, and self esteem that is way too low. Infatuated with the uber hot masseuse Juan Carlos, or JC to his friends, Mollie decides to join a gym to hopefully lose weight and then catch the eye of JC.

In her lovely old sweatpants and t-shirt, sweaty from a bike ride, she meets the owner of the gym, Conner Bean. Conner just happens to be cousins with her best friend Suzy, and is a young hot thing. Flustered that Conner would give her the time of day, Mollie flees the gym. But the next day they meet again at their mutual friend’s anniversary party. Conner is very attracted to Mollie and turns on the flirting full throttle. Mollie can’t believe he is actually talking to her, but when he stops talking and starts using his tongue for other pleasures, she realizes there might be something between them.

For the Love of Mollie is a quick, cute contemporary romance with plenty of smutty goodness. It’s kind of a dream set up – Mollie whose self image is in the toilet, hooks up with the young, tan, perfectly in shape, extremely weakly Conner. Hello! Oh, and he is good in bed too. Mollie is so lucky! These are two very likable characters – actually everyone in the story besides the thin, gym bimbos come across as very pleasant. And KT Grant doesn’t skimp on the naughty, dirty smexin’ between this couple. I also thought it was adorable that Conner calls Mollie his “luscious Mollie.”

I feel like I have a good grasp on Mollie, but I wish we had gotten to know Conner a little better. His back story is only briefly mentioned. How new in town is he? If he is a close cousin to Mollie’s best friend, it seems like they maybe should have met or Mollie should have been aware of him. Conner is a fun hero, but I wanted to learn more about him. I also did not believe in the big conflict at the end of the book. I feel like it was too expected, and just not convincing enough. Otherwise, this is a cute, light book.

    Fab review!

Interesting feelings you had about the story's ending… maybe somethings weren't shown more… like Conner's back story, because there may be another book coming that might fill you in on him better.

    Let hope.

    Hi Mandi!

Excellent review! I always like to know about my hero's backstory, a few of their struggles, and how they ended up where they are. Glad you review this one!

I never thought about it, but you are right about Connor's past being all mysterious-but I think that with novellas you have to pick and choose what backgrounds will be told.

This was such a fun, light read. :)

Conner is actually the long lost twin brother of Ryan Reynolds, but I had to cut that out.
