9. I just finished The Fifteenth Minute by Sarina Bowen this morning. She is one of my favorite authors and in this one, as in her others, she brings up a difficult topic. This time the hero has been accused of non-consensual sex prior to the book starting. He is innocent, but the college may take action depending upon an upcoming hearing. I think the author handles this topic well and I like how it all plays out. Beyond that, we get Lianne’s story which I’ve been dying for. A famous actress, she struggles with fame. She is also shy and a computer nerd. I <3 her. DJ, the hero, is super sweet and their romance plays out nicely. It’s not as sexually passionate as some of her other work, but with the topic it covers, it made sense to downplay the sex somewhat. I enjoyed. Goodreads l Amazon

2. October 13th was the fourth anniversary of “Treat Yo Self” Day from my beloved Parks and Rec. So I will share my favorite clip ever. And remember folks, every day is Treat Yo Self day. I will treat myself tonight by consuming a Jolly Rancher martini. I know, sounds kinda gross, right? I had one last night and first – it tasted nothing like a Jolly Rancher (unless there are peach jolly ranchers??) and second, it was mighty tasty. It’s Vanilla Vodka, Peach Schnapps and a splash of lime juice. Treat Yo Self to one tonight!
1. It’s Friday. Happy day! My MIL is taking my kids to the movies this afternoon so I immediately called my girlfriend to go to the wine bar with me. I just finished The Fiteenth Minute!!! I started getting VERY NERVOUS over how it was going to be handled, and once again, Sarina Bowen takes a subject that could bomb and handles it beautifully.

Yeah, that bald head does nothing for the lady boner. I watched some of the blind auditions and he was looking like his sexy self. In fact, I was not surprised in any way when a female 16 year old contestant, who got 4 chairs to turn and was CLEARLY a country singer, chose Adam Levine. Blake seems shocked to shit…but c’mon….16, girl, Adam…
