Are you all ready for the eclipse? SmexyBooks is. We’ ve got our wine, snacks, and viewers. All eclipses need wine and snacks. It’s the law. But if you aren’t ready, bestselling author Tessa Dare tweeted and graciously allowed us to share here on the blog how to make your very own solar eclipse viewers (the wine and snacks are on you).
Need a last-minute DIY eclipse viewer? Here, I will show you how to make one! (with added shameless promo)
Step one: Gather supplies.
Step two: Cut out two same-ish sized pieces of cardboard. Preferably from a box that delivered some books.
Step three: Cut messy square-ish hole in the middle of one of them and a messy squareish bit of aluminum foil. Tape the foil over the hole.
Step four: Decorate this half of your eclipse viewer as desired. Get creative!Step five: with a pin, poke a hole in the middle of the foil. The pain only lasts a moment, love.
Step six: That other piece of cardboard? Stick a plain piece of printer paper on it.Step seven: Once again, decorate as desired.
Step seven, continued: Feel free to add dialogue!
