Mandi’s Heart Now Belongs to Jenny Colgan and the Island of Mure
I was on Twitter a week or two ago (shocking, I know) and I saw a random tweet from Angie (from Angieville - I've followed her for years and she has great taste in books). Angie tweeted that The Cafe by the Sea by Jenny Colgan was on sale and that she really loved the book. (it's still $1.99) I had never heard of Jenny Colgan. The cover and blurb made it sound like women's fiction. But for some reason - I don't know why - not only did I buy it (I buy books ALL the time based on twitter recs) Continue Reading

Review: Desperate Girls by Laura Griffin
I love Laura Griffin's romantic suspense books. Maybe a little light on the romance, but she writes creepy suspense and crime so well. I never get bored with crime scene details or detective work. Her books are fast paced and full of intrigue. In Desperate Girls, we have a high-powered defense attorney, Brynn, who is looking to get a young adult off of murder charges - a murder she truly believes he did not commit. She has to travel with her co-worker Ross to Dallas, to attend the trial. Continue Reading

Mandi’s Mini Reviews
Surprise Baby, Second Chance by Therese Beharrie Released: July 26, 2018 Contemporary Romance Mills & Boon Reviewed by Mandi I love to read marriage in trouble tropes. To explore a couple already committed to one another, yet having emotional issues always sucks me in. But this one was a little too slow for me. Rosa left her husband four months before the book starts, without a single explanation. She has her reason (I don't want to spoil it since it doesn't mention specifics in the Continue Reading
