Silver & Blood by Jessie MihalikSilver & Blood #1Fantasy RomancePublished January 27, 2026 by AvonARC Review by Angela I've long been a fan of this author, her previous three series are Science Fiction Romance, and I gobbled them up. If you enjoy this genre and need more books to add to your TBR, jump over to this author's website and check out her backlist. But Romantasy is all the craze right now, and Jessie Mihalik's newest book sits firmly in that genre. Riela is a Continue Reading
Mini Reviews: We Who Will Die by Stacia Stark and Through Gates of Garnet and Gold by Seanan McGuire
We Who Will Die by Stacia StarkEmpire of Blood #1Fantasy RomanceDecember 30, 2025- AvonARC I will admit to being hooked by the thought of a roman inspired world ran by vampires. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a good blurb. I was also kind of taken in by the marketing, which was pretty much that this would be the next big thing in the romantasy world. I have mixed feelings about this book. While I did enjoy the main plot, and magic system--which if I'm being honest took me a Continue Reading
Review: Second Chance Romance by Olivia Dade
Second Chance Romance by Olivia DadeContemporary Romance November 25, 2025 by Avon Review by Melanie In the interest of full disclosure, let me state that Olivia Dade and I are friends. However, I want to be very clear, our friendship did not influence this review. Perhaps I was always predisposed to love a book titled Second Chance Romance. It is, after all, one of my top romance tropes. However, this is not technically a second chance romance by the strictest of Continue Reading

Review: Along Came Amor by Alexis Daria
Along Came Amor by Alexis DariaContemporary RomanceMay 27, 2025, by Avon Review by Melanie Along Came Amor is the latest title from Alexis Daria and the third and final book in her Primas of Power series. Given that it’s been a minute since the last book in this series came out (almost 4 years to be exact), it took some doing for me to reacquaint myself with the series and the large cast of characters. This story features a sexy romance between recently divorced school teacher Ava Continue Reading
