Archangel's Sun by Nalini SinghGuild Hunter #13PNR/ Urban Fantasy RomanceNovember 24, 2020, by Berkley ARC Reviewed by Angela I remembered being SO EXCITED when it was announced that Titus and Sharine, better known in this series as The Hummingbird, would be the featured couple in the next Guild Hunter novel. As much as I adore this author's Psy/Changeling series, I can't get enough of her Archangels and the world they live in. I simply adore The Guild Hunter world. The Hummingbird Continue Reading
Review: Ties That Tether by Jane Igharo
Ties that Tether by Jane IgharoContemporary RomanceSeptember 29, 2020, by BerkleyAudibleReviewed by Melinda I love reading debuts because I feel like it gives a great glimpse into authors and their writing potential. Ties That Tether is such a strong first novel that I cannot wait to see what else Jane Igharo does. The main theme running throughout the novel is how to deal with cultural differences in a relationship. Azere's family has always stressed the importance of marrying a Nigerian Continue Reading
Review: The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill
The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe NeillHistorical FantasyNovember 17, 2020, by BerkleyARCReview by Angela The cover for The Bright and Breaking Sea is what first caught my attention and led me to read the blurb and then actively inquiring about a review copy. I am 100% here for badass ship captains magically attuned to the sea. This book was quite unlike any I can remember reading. Sort of a fantasy historical adventure with a dash of romance. The main protagonists were introduced Continue Reading
Angela’s Minis- Reviews for Love is a Rogue by Lenora Bell and Crazy, Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
Love is a Rogue by Lenora BellWallflowers vs. Rogues #1Historical RomanceOctober 27, 2020, by AvonARC I simply adored this author's last release and was very excited to get an early copy of this first book in her newest series. Wallflowers vs. Rogues has many of the same characters as her School for Dukes series but seems to be introducing a fresh, new group of Wallflowers/women who want something different for their lives other than balls and shopping and letting men control them. Love is a Continue Reading
Kini’s Friday Kisses- Reviews for books by Morgan Rogers and Rachel Lynn Solomon
One of my favorite things about reviewing is reading an ARC and having the feeling of the book being so good that you want to tell everyone. And then being really annoying the months leading up to the release. Then the satisfaction of having other readers validate how much they loved the book when they are finally able to read it. This is the long way of me telling you that I am trying very hard to add some books with farther out release dates to my reading. Sorry to my already massive TBR but Continue Reading
Review: Well Played by Jen DeLuca
I read Well Met when it was released and I liked it but didn’t love it. I do LOVE the Ren Faire setting in this series. Plus they take place in Maryland, where I live and I love to see how it is depicted. I was intrigued by the secondary characters from Well Met so I was excited to see that Stacey was getting her story told in Well Played (out 9/22). I mistakenly thought Stacey was going to be paired with Mitch, so shame on me for jumping to conclusions. Once I refreshed myself on the Continue Reading
Angela’s TBR Update
Even though I have approximately seven thousand books on my ARC review spreadsheet at all times I still like to mix in books that I've purchased and have been languishing on my Kindle and Library books of whomever I'm currently glomming. Right now I'm in the middle of a Simone St. James backlist glom and a series read of Deanna Raybourn's Veronica Speedwell historical mysteries. I'm almost done with both, so if you have suggestions of what to read next please let me know. Here's what I've Continue Reading
Angela’s Minis- Reviews for The Deadly Hours Anthology and The Ghost Tree by Christina Henry
The Deadly Hours by Susanna Kearsley, C.S. Harris, Christine Trent, Anna Lee HuberHistorical Mystery/Historical Fiction/AnthologySeptember 1, 2020 by Poisoned Pen PressARC I picked up this anthology mainly because of C.S. Harris and Susanna Kearsley, but I was more than happy to get an introduction to a couple of new to me authors. This is one of the better anthologies I've read in the last several years. Each story flowed smoothly into the next and these author's voices worked very Continue Reading

Angela’s TBR Update
Y'all... I have seven thousand books on my ARC spreadsheet to read, but instead, I keep picking up random new releases and books from my TBR that I've been meaning to read instead. Why am I like this? I've been on a historical mystery kick lately, right now I'm alternating between Deanna Raybourn's Veronica Speedwell series and Simone St. James's backlist of wonderful gothic/ghost story mysteries. I'm having so much fun. The Veronica Speedwell Series: A Curious Beginning (A Veronica Continue Reading
