The Devil You Know by Elizabeth O'RoarkDevil #3Contemporary RomanceJune 23, 2022Self PublishedARC Review by Angela Having gobbled up the first two books in this series in just the last couple of months, my anticipation for Ben's book was sky high. The Missed Connection by Denise WilliamsContemporary RomanceAudiobook - May 3, 2022Print/Ebook - June 21, 2022Berkley Review by Iby Let me start by saying - I will read anything that Denise Williams writes, and I’ll probably love it. Her writing style just works for me, and I love her nuanced characters. When an ARC became available for an upcoming novella, I quickly volunteered to read and review. This is the second in a series of three interconnected novellas that all take place in Continue Reading
Review: Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
Every Summer After by Carley FortuneComing of Age FictionMay 10, 2022Berkley Review by Jen How much did I love Every Summer After by Carley Fortune? To the moon and back. This book was SO good! It gave first love chills, brought back sweet memories of growing up, and special summers spent by the water. For me it was the ocean, for our heroine it was the lake. At age 13, Persephone (Percy) and her family get a cottage and spend every summer by the lake. Next door is Sam and his Continue Reading
Review: Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score
Maggie Moves On by Lucy ScoreContemporary RomanceJune 21, 2022, by Forever Review by Iby Lucy Score is known for her small-town romances, featuring smoldering sex scenes and charming banter. It’s her formula - but it definitely works for her, so I’m not complaining. Maggie Moves On is about Maggie, a YouTube influencer who flips houses, and just landed in Kinship, Idaho to work on her biggest project yet- a dilapidated mansion, the Old Campbell Place. She arrives with a lean crew of Continue Reading

Melinda’s Mini Reviews: No Strings by Lucy Bexley & the Roxane Weary series by Kristen Lepionka
No Strings by Lucy BexleyLGBTQ Contemporary RomanceJan 11, 2022Purchased Review by Melinda No Strings by Lucy Bexley is genuinely one of the most charming and surprising books I’ve read! The cover may be one of the worst I’ve ever seen so I would never have picked it up without a friend telling me it was 5 stars for her. Elsie is a puppeteer on a kid's TV show that she basically created…but gets next to no credit OR money for. And when the head of the company dies, his daughter Jones Continue Reading
Review: By the Book by G.B. Gordon
By the Book by G.B. Gordon Contemporary Romance/Thriller/LGBTQ+Published June 14th by Carina Press Reviewed by Kate H. I love books that cross genres, but when genre expectations conflict, not all readers will be happy and I’m afraid that may be the case with this novel. By the Book is a m/m romance and a thriller – the tale of a novice accountant, Ben Coyne, and Nick Marshall, a playboy FBI agent coming up against his 40th birthday. Ben has discovered a Continue Reading
Review: How to Fake it in Hollywood by Ava Wilder
How to Fake it in Hollywood by Ava WilderContemporary RomanceJune 14, 2022 by DellARC Review by Angela The first thing I want to say before getting into the meat of this review is that this is another case of the illustrated cover not accurately reflecting the contents of the book. I went into How to Fake it in Hollywood thinking that it would be a lighter rom-com featuring two actors having to fake a relationship for the tabloids in order to pump up their careers. What I got was a much, Continue Reading
Review: My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey
My Killer Vacation by Tessa BaileyContemporary RomanceJune 6, 2022Self-Published Review by Iby I am admittedly a Tessa Bailey fan, especially her newer works. I love the banter and the steam - she has great dynamics between her main characters, and her books tend to be lighthearted and eminently enjoyable. When she said she was writing a murder mystery romance, I knew that I’d be all-in. The set-up: Careful, cautious second-grade teacher Taylor has saved for years to take a vacation in Continue Reading
Scenic Sunday: Written On His Skin by Simone Stark
I read this perfect little novella when it first came out in 2017 and I've read it multiple times since then. It's a quick little read, about120 pages in all, and every word of this tightly written book is perfect. Simone Stark really delivered the ultimate novella on her very first try and I hope she knows just how many people love this sweet. sexy story. Usually, when I do Scenic Sunday posts, I pick a book and I already know which scene I'm going to focus on. For this one though, I found Continue Reading
