August 14, 2012 by Mandi 6 Comments

Mark and Tony by LB Gregg (Men of Smithfield #1) Contemporary Romance August 6, 2012 (re-release) Carina Press Reviewed by Mandi This book is a revised and re-edited version of a book previously titled Gobsmacked. I read it a couple of years ago, and I enjoyed it the second time around just as much. LB Gregg now has it rereleasing with Carina Press, and I couldn’t be happier that people get another chance to read her Men of Smithfield. This one still remains my favorite. Mark Meehan Continue Reading

Why the Dark Soul Series Is our New Crack

August 3, 2012 by Mandi 19 Comments

Mandi: When I read Tori’s weekly wrap-up last week, I noticed she was going to start the Dark Soul series by Aleksandr Voinov. I’ve been wanting to try something by him (although I think I read a previous novella by him) so I decided to grab book one and see what it was all about. Whoa. It’s dark, intense, has some extremely uncomfortable sexual situations, and is completely addictive. I really enjoyed it and could not put my Kindle down. The series consists of five novellas, each 50-75 pages Continue Reading

He likes to keep to himself, which is something hard to do when on assignment down there. Continue Reading

While he’s sitting there observing the crowd and trying to decide if he Continue Reading

Review: One Small Thing by Piper Vaughn and M.J. O’Shea

July 17, 2012 by Mandi 6 Comments

One Small Thing by Piper Vaughn and M.J. O’Shea Contemporary M/M Romance May 4, 2012 Dreamspinner Press Reviewed by Mandi Based on the blurb and cover (the feet creep me out) for One Small Thing, I don’t think I would have ever picked it up on my own. But there is this thing called Twitter (have you heard of it?) where people recommend books to me every day (that’s the sound of my credit card weeping). Brie from Romance Around the Corner (also a fab person to follow on twitter) Continue Reading

Smex Scene Sunday

June 24, 2012 by Tori 6 Comments

Trust Me If You Dare by L.B. Gregg Love in an elevator...livin’ it up as you're going down. This scene occurs after Dan has conned Caesar into searching an apartment and Ce thinks he deserves something in return. “I think you owe me. I’ve been accommodating all day and I think it’s your turn to accommodate me.” I peeled my shirt over my head and tossed it into the corner of the elevator. I forgot my sore ribs as his dirty, surprised grin made my blood boil. a hot river of Continue Reading

Review: The Marrying Kind by Ken O’Neill

June 15, 2012 by Mandi 3 Comments

The Marrying Kind by Ken O’Neill M/M Romantic Fiction May 30, 2012 Bold Strokes Books Reviewed by Mandi I accepted this review request with a little trepidation. First of all, this is more a romantic fiction than the standard romances I read. The author described the book more as ‘chick-lit but with two gay men’ in his review request, so I was intrigued. He also said, “that if enough people read it my sweet little book might have an impact on the state of equality in this country.” Continue Reading
