Why the Dark Soul Series Is our New Crack
Mandi: When I read Tori’s weekly wrap-up last week, I noticed she was going to start the Dark Soul series by Aleksandr Voinov. I’ve been wanting to try something by him (although I think I read a previous novella by him) so I decided to grab book one and see what it was all about. Whoa. It’s dark, intense, has some extremely uncomfortable sexual situations, and is completely addictive. I really enjoyed it and could not put my Kindle down. The series consists of five novellas, each 50-75 pages Continue Reading

But there is this thing called Twitter (have you heard of it?) where people recommend books to me every day (that’s the sound of my credit card weeping). Brie from Romance Around the Corner (also a fab person to follow on twitter) Continue Reading

Review: The Marrying Kind by Ken O’Neill
The Marrying Kind by Ken O’Neill M/M Romantic Fiction May 30, 2012 Bold Strokes Books Reviewed by Mandi I accepted this review request with a little trepidation. First of all, this is more a romantic fiction than the standard romances I read. The author described the book more as ‘chick-lit but with two gay men’ in his review request, so I was intrigued. He also said, “that if enough people read it my sweet little book might have an impact on the state of equality in this country.” Continue Reading
