Chasing Cassandra is the sixth book in the Ravenels series by Lisa Kleypas and I couldn't wait to read Tom and Cassandra's love story. From glancing at the ratings and reviews on Goodreads I think I'm the only reader in Romancelandia who didn't absolutely love this book. LOL. Not that I didn't enjoy my time spent reading, because I did, but it didn't blow me away. Tom and Cassandra meet by chance at her sister Poppy's wedding and it is lust at first sight for Tom. Cassandra on the other hand Continue Reading
Angela’s Minis- Reviews for Books by Alexa Martin, Eva Leigh, and Nalini Singh
A Madness of Sunshine by Nalini SinghMystery/SuspenseDecember 3, 2019 by BerkleyARC Stepping into the mystery/suspense genre Nalini Singh introduces readers to the small town of Golden Cove, New Zealand and a newly widowed, classical pianist home again after a long absence. When a young woman, full of joy and life Continue Reading
Angela’s TBR Mini Reviews- Books by Kerrigan Byrne, Hailey Edwards, and Annette Marie
Slaying Monsters for the Feeble (Guild Codex: Demonized #2) by Annette Marie 11/1- I discovered this author on KU and have really enjoyed her writing. The Guild Codex: Demonized is actually a spin-off from the original series, Guild Codex: Spellbound. The main character of Demonized is introduced several books into the Spellbound series and I was hooked as soon as I met her on page. Now I think I enjoy her series even more than the original. I love the dynamics between Robin and her Continue Reading

I have recently rediscovered my love of romantic suspense and Continue Reading

Mandi Actually Read a Book on Vacation! (and liked it)
Usually when I go on vacation, I maybe read one chapter. Just one lonely chapter. I find myself getting caught up with my kids or doing things like - not relaxing in a chair so I can read. But this most recent vacation lacked my children and had plenty of lounging by the pool time - so I read an entire book and a half! (I probably would have read more if I didn't have tequila in my other hand at all times). I win at life. (also lose at life after I discovered a humongous cockroach in my Continue Reading
