Review: Tangled Threads by Jennifer Estep
Tangled Threads by Jennifer Estep April 26, 2011 Urban Fantasy Paperback Pocket Reviewed by Mandi Favorite Quote: “Who the hell are you?” I gave him a cold, hard smile. “The bitch who’s here to kill you.” The Elemental Assassin series hooked me with the first sentence in the first book, Spider’s Bite: My name is Gin, and I kill people. And I am happy to say, now that we are on to book four, this series is only getting better in my opinion. Much of Continue Reading

My stomach tightened, and I stared out into the darkness. “Then I’ll fuck him once, and when we’re done, I’ll stab him where he lies.” ”That’s hard core, Gin,” Finn replied. “Very hard core. Kind of kinky too.” Gin Blanco, aka the Spider, is a retired assassin, but that doesn’t mean she Continue Reading

First of all, I want to say thanks to Mandi for asking me to guest blog. Thanks so much, Mandi! As some of you may know, I have a book coming out today -- Spider’s Bite, the first book in my new Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series. The star of the book is Gin Blanco, a part-time cook and waitress at the Pork Pit barbecue restaurant. In her spare time, Gin moonlights as the assassin the Spider. Review: Spider’s Bite by Jennifer Estep
My name is Gin Blanco. They call me the Spider — the most feared assassin in the South (and a part-time cook at the Pork Pit BBQ joint.) As a Stone elemental, I can hear the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet and feel the vibrations of the soaring mountains above me, though I don't use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride. After a ruthless Air elemental double-crossed me and killed my handler, I'm out for revenge. And I'll exterminate anyone who Continue Reading
Angela’s Most Anticipated for 2025
I usually set goals for myself in the first week of the new year. This year I set my reading goal for 130 books. 140 stressed me out in 2024- and even though I'll probably read more, the less stress about meeting a goal the better. 2025 seems like it will be stressful enough. I usually also pick a couple of author's backlists and already published series that I intend to read in the new year. This year I want to read the Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas, Danielle L Jensen's Bridge Continue Reading
