I’m so excited to have Chloe Neill Catcher Bell, the smexy sorcerer in Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampire series at Smexy today. I have been known in the past to declare myself, “Team Catcher” although Ethan may have stolen my heart in her latest book, Twice Bitten. Catcher, what do you have to say for yourself?

So, Chloe asked me to talk today about a certain unfortunate circumstance. By that, I mean the tendency of some camps to join the “Team Ethan” and “Team Morgan” bandwagons, and how I’m apparently some sort of third-stringer in that area.
*rolling eyes*
First off, unless you’re playing professional sports, you’re not a member of “Team” anything. Just something to consider, kids.
Second, I really don’t feel any burning need to compare or contrast myself as a dating candidate with two vampires.
The main reason? I am obviously superior. And why, you ask, is that? Long story short, because I’m not a vampire. I mean, seriously. Vamps are worriers. They get anxious. They stress about strategy and politics and who’s at the top of the supernatural food chain. As if we care about that?
I mean, I’m up to my ears in paperwork because the Goose Island Nymph and the North Branch Nymph can’t decide whether on a schedule for raising the bascule bridges. Tour boat this, recreational boat that,
commercial barge over here, water taxi over there. And I have to sort that stuff out.
North Branch is also miffed because some tourist on a tour boat threw a Starbucks cup into her river. Not that it’s pristine, mind you, but they are territorial about things like that. *Shrugs* All I’m saying it, I have bigger fish to fry than trying to beat the vamps in some sort of “My Teeth Are Longer” competition.
But if we’re going to get serious about this thing, here you go. *Ticks off items on his fingers* One, I’m a
sorcerer. I control matter solely by willing it. When’s the last time you saw Sullivan do that?
Second, I’m a master of weaponry. You get worried, nervous, I’m gonna have your back, and I’m going to defend it well. I have, as Mal might say, some mad skills in that area.
Third, I’m not bound by oaths to this House or that House. I’m a free agent, so to speak, so I’m capable of being loyal to that certain special woman.
Fourth, I’m a one-woman kind of man. I find a girl, I stick by her side. Now, the downside of that for you is that I’ve got a little misses in that category who’s currently allowing me to live rent-free in her house. So some loyalty is due in that direction.
*Yawns, so that T-shirt lifts to reveal cut abs and tattoo of circle cut into quadrants*
Well, I guess that’s about it. Go “Team Catcher” and whatnot. Now, I’m going to go find my girl. Later.
*perks* Catcher, am I your girl? Oh wait, you are talking about Mallory. Whatever!

I am Team Ethan all the way! Ethan even bumped my Raphael off the #1 spot on the boyfriend list for a couple of weeks when I read book 2. He has been the only one to do that!
Awww poor Catcher. I do have to say that Catcher is one sexy mofo. Hope that makes him happy. Whenever I think of him, I see Jesse Williams in my mind from Grey's because he has green eye's as well. And he seems cut like that. yum! Please enter me! :D

ARGH! I had this whole like witty comment. I was like amazed at my wittiness and then the stupid firewall at my work blocked it and then it deleted it and then I'm sitting her crying. I mean the comment was that good. Ok, I'm going to try to recreate it, but I think it might loose the quick-draw flavor it had.

I personally think that Catcher shouldn't be a team at all right, cause it is just the hawt boys in line for Merit, eh? And since he is hooked up with Mallory that puts him out of the running. Wouldn't be a very good friend if Merit hopped on the Catcher train, right? Now for the real team, I think Neill should throw everything out the window — all the boys and have Merit and Mallory hook up. Might give UF a little more flavor. Plus that would be an easy to do YouTube Vid – cause I think I have a Barbie mermaid with pink hair somewhere. It might be purple though. Much easier than finding a 12" emo vamp boy.
And then of course, I went on to comment that you need to hook me up with that silicone Twice Bitten bracelet, cause I so need to sport it! XOXO PJ
