For those of you who have read the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning, all I need to do is say the word, “Barrons” and swooning and mass hysteria usually follow. For those who have no idea who this Barrons is, well it is time to find out.
The Fever series is soon coming to an end. The fifth and final book in this urban fantasy series is due to release January 18th. This series has been one of the best I have read – ever. It combines paranormal action with some humor and has the most intense hero of all heroes. This is the kind of series where there are a ton of questions, and not many answers…yet. A lot rides on this final book. Karen Marie Moning has tortured us with clues, with hints, and with the most painful cliffhangers that have you screaming, throwing the book against the wall, and gathering your friends up on Twitter to console one another. To be in top shape for Shadowfever in January, Tori, Sophia (aka Fiction Vixen) and myself are going to reread the series. And we want to encourage you guys out there to reread (or read for the first time) with us. Right girls? Are you with me?
Sophia – Yes! This is one of my favorite series and if you haven’t read it, now is the time. Karen Marie Moning gave us some great clues throughout this series and we’re about to get all the answers come January. Plus, who doesn’t need an extra does of Jericho Barrons now and then? Rawr.
Tori-Dudes I’m so there. Got all four on e reader and I’m ready to go. This series has annoyed, frustrated, thrilled and hooked me so bad. It’s like crack for book readers. If you haven’t read it-start now. It’s THAT good.
Every few weeks (we’ll try to work around the holidays) we will discuss each book, list out all the important clues, and just chat about their awesomeness. The schedule is as follows:
Darkfever Discussion – November 18th
Bloodfever Discussion – December 9th
Faefever Discussion – December 23rd
Dreamfever Discussion – January 13th
Purchase Darkfever at Amazon, Kindle, Book Depository, Barnes and Noble.
Discussions will be held here and over at Fiction Vixen, so check out her page today too!
We hope you read along with us, and we will be back on the 18th to talk about Book One, Darkfever! Barrons! Murder! Shades! A fae that makes you undress in public! Barrons! Ireland! Barrons!

Perfect. I read Darkfever last spring, but then I stopped because I'd heard about the cliffhanger. In the meantime I've picked up Bloodfever and Faefever so I'm ready to go.

I'm all about experiencing some swooning and mass hysteria. Sounds to me like the perfect opportunity to finally start this series. Count me in. Maybe now Julie will stop giving me the evil eye everytime I mention that I haven't read these books yet.

November 4, 2010 at 12:03 pm
What a great idea! I'm going to try to do this with you all!
I read the first book ages ago when it first came out–will probably need to reread it. I believe I have books two and three on the TBR somewhere. The read along sounds like fun… and a great motivator to finish the series and read the last book when it's fresh off the press!

I was planing to re-read them before shadowfever's release, I would love to be part of the discussion, especially Dreamfever's… that book torture me for weeks after I finished it. I couldn't believe the way it ended and since then I'm waiting eagerly for Shadowfever.
So count me in
