I don’t like it. I think it is because Tohr’s face is so pronounced. That is not what Tohr looks like in my head.
This was discovered on Goodreads yesterday, but now I don’t see it so I’m not sure what that means. JR Ward’s message boards have been offline for some time now. Does anyone know if they are coming back? I know there were some hardcore “Cellies” on the boards – has some new secret board been started? How am I suppose to stalk for info?? *sob*
Hmmm. Definitely not how I picture Tohr either. I’m not so excited for this one, but I had low expectations for Manny and Payne too and I was pleasantly surprised. Tohr’s been through a lot, but I’m not thrilled with his proposed heroine. Kinda hard to replace Wellsie.
See now this is just how I pictured Tohr. Of course darker hair, but still what I pictured in my head! LOL
I still think the cover should have been in green this time. You know with reborn and how he was found in the woods. Just my opinion though. Sigh….Tohr how I love thee!

I’m really hoping this cover release is a fluke because it’s horrible IMO. This is not Tohr! This truly gags me!
Maybe my least favorite BDB cover. I like the ones with the couples, much more BDB-like. Not that most cover models ever match the picture of the character in my head, but this one doesn’t come close. But I’m not a cover designer, so what do I know!
I’m excited for his book, but I still wonder if it’s not too soon for his story. I haven’t gotten over Wellsie’s death yet, I’m not ready for him to move on!

I saw the cover just now over at Jessica Rabbits Corner and as I said over there….NOT, NOT, NOT how I pictured Tohr! I really don’t like this cover. It makes me glad that I have a Kindle & can skip the cover if I choose to!
I don’t have a problem with the face, strong jaw, full lips, piercing blue eyes but all the orange glow?!?!?! Not my kind of think.
I’ve heard that that is not the prototype because of mainly the coloring!

Not good at all but I’m probably gonna skip it anyway. I’ve read along with Tohr through a lot of pain and angst. I felt his slip from reality and desire to follow Wellsie into the Afterlife. Cheezy plot gimic or not, I wanted Ward to find a way to bring Wellsie back from the Fade. It’s taken centuries for these guys to find their mates, but John barely turned finds his and now Tohr is over Wellsie’s death and ready for another mate. IMHO it kinda makes the emphasis placed on the importance and sacredness of the mating bond look cheap and superficial.
Maybe, JRW has come up with some way to change the Scribe Virgins mind?? The Sv has all but given up , so maybe this will be the last nice thing she does? And, yes, I agree with you about John Matthew being so soon out of his transformation and getting the girl! It was rather unfair on the other boys! But that’s life.. even for Vamps it would seem! lol
Cybercliper- Just because you are genuinely in love with somebody doesn’t mean you get to spend the rest of your whole entire life with them. It doesn’t mean that Wellsie was nothing or that she will be easily replaced. I’m sure the story will show how hard it is for him to move on with his life and how he will probably war with himself about this. And I’m sure it will show him “talking” to Wellsie about this when he is alone. She would want for him to be happy though and probably to be re-mated. She would want him to find happiness no matter what. That’s part of actually being in love with someone. And I’m sure she would love for him to have children. So no, I don’t think that it makes their mating bond look cheap or superficial. Actually, it makes it look very real. It brings out the realness in all the fantasy in these stories.
I find it an interesting that we get to see a brother go through his second mating. I can’t imagine she will leave Wellsie out as Tohr goes through the process of falling in love again.
I will say though – I’m not super excited it’s No’One..but I guess we don’t know her well yet.

I hope they keep up the theme of just showing some chest or AB’s. I think the only cover they gave a face to was for Rhev’s, and he looked pretty bad ass! But, yeah I hope this isn’t the official cover.
I would rather have a cover with a nondescript profile of a guy that leaves more to the imagination than this. This is not how I picture Tohr. If they keep this one as the final cover, I’ll guess I’ll just have to “lose” the book jacket as soon as it arrives. :)

That is the exact opposite to how I picture Tohr. I would call that cover model a ‘pretty boy’ and that does not fit with my image of Tohr as this poor, tortured soul at all.

Yes, I’m late on this. I blame school and work and family and being generally insane (but totally cute).
I know he tried to starve himself to death and everything, but he’s been trying to get healthy again. Didn’t someone say something in the last book about how good he was looking? He looks gaunt and unhealthy on the cover. This is NOT my Tohr. And you can ask anyone. I’m TOTALLY a Tohr girl. Have been since the very first book. I’m praying that the book lives up to the hype. If this is another Lover Enshrined, I’m QUITTING. Ok, I probably won’t, but I’ll seriously think about it.
I’m even later commenting, but…it doesn’t work for me. The cover is very…generic looking? And that’s not how I pictured Tohr either…

The last bdb book I bought was Rhevenge’s. The series has long since jumped the shark for me and I’m not really into it anymore. I still try to find out what each book will be about in case we got more Zsadist, but other than that… meh.
