Sabrina (Bree) has come to her friend’s secluded cabin to escape the pain and hurt caused by her cheating ex husband. When she decides that in order to move on she must burn away her pain, she builds a huge bonfire and ceremoniously burns her ex-husbands things.
Travis, an ex solder, was attacked and changed over in Afghanistan. He now lives in the area surrounding Bree’s cabin and when he catches a whiff of Bree, his cat decides that she is definitely worth playing with.
Snow’s Heat is a light-hearted sensual novella about an older woman and a younger man, who for different reasons, decide to take back their lives and find some fun with each other along the way. Bree is quite funny with her snappy comebacks and quips. I really like how Travis jumps right in and helps Bree out when her ex husband calls and comes looking for her, wanting to hurt her once again. There is immediately smoking hot chemistry between the two which blends well into the storyline.
My complaint? I would have liked to have seen the storyline focus less on her ex and more on Bree and Travis. There is a lot of goodness packed in this little niblet and it just seems we spend too much time hearing about her ex; who by the way is a total tool. I would have loved to see more of an emotional development beyond sex between Bree and Travis.
If you like snarky heroines and sexy shifters, then definitely give Snow’s Heat a try.

I don’t like it when the ex haunts the new relationship and kills the mood. This one still sounds good though. :)

I liked it but yea, the ex was a little to visual.

I cringe on X’s lingering in stories, especially if they are “tools”, lol. But like Sophia said, it still sounds good. Love the older woman/younger man theme.

The chemistry between them is HOT!
