I just finished Hostage to Pleasure last night. In my opinion it was the weakest of the series, however, this series is absolutely one of my favorite. Nalini writes such a smart story, with super hawt alpha males. The books take place in a future world, where humans are the minority. Shapeshifters and Psy rule the world. Psy are humans that have special psychic abilities, telepathy, seeing the future, etc… The council that rules the Psy instituted “Silence,” conditioning Psy from birth to live a life without emotion, basically trying to create the perfect race. Obviously, the shapeshifters thrive on emotion and touch…thus an inevitable war arises between them. Also in each book, (except for Mine to Possess) a Psy and shapeshifter get thrown together and become mated, after much hardship :)

Mine to Possess with Clay and Tally is my absolute favorite. Clay is definitely in the top three of my favorite alpha males (Vishous and Barrons rounding out the top three :) ) All the shapeshifters, the majority being leopards from the DarkRiver clan and wolves from the SnowDancer clan, are extremely possessive and protective of their females and young – hence the major alpha male status :) Seriously, they will rip someones throat out, and then go have mushy smexy sex. A little violence and hawt leopards nekkid..what else do I need?

As much as it is a wonderful and very steamy romance series, Nalini Singh has also created such a detailed world with the war against the Psy. I want to know who the Ghost is??? Is it Kaleb on the council? That is my guess and I think Faith’s father, Anthony also knows that Kaleb is the Ghost.

Her next book out, Branded by Fire comes out this June. This will be Riley (Brenna’s brother in SnowDancer) and Mercy (sentinel in DarkRiver) story. It will be the first book with both leads a shapeshifter..they are two different animals however, so that should cause some fun :).

Blaze of Memory will be out in November and the Hero will be Dev (Tally’s boss). I don’t think Nalini has given the name of the heroine yet, but I did read that she said – We know her, but we don’t know her.
