My husband has off work today..whoohoo. Friends of ours just had a little baby boy which I get to go hold in a little while. Inhale all that baby deliciousness and get my fix:)
Meanwhile, thought I would do a Mailbox Monday post.
I bought the first four books in Kelly Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series. I know I am totally late getting to this series. Bitten by Books recently had a poll to vote for your favorite shapeshifter couple and Clay and Elena were nominated. I had never heard of them so I immediately had to investigate and that led me to her first book in the series, Bitten. I wanted something fun to read at the beach and I think this will be the series I take. I still have a month and a half before I go so I will try to hold off on reading them:)
Katie at Babbling About Books and More review of Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr made me go out and buy Wicked Lovely, the first in the series last night. (Yes, I have to read books in order) This is why I love the Kindle – I can buy all these books and they magically appear in a minute! (They are magically paid for too, right?) I also bought My Wicked Enemy by Carolyn Jewel in preparation for Forbidden Desire release tomorrow. I will post my thoughts of My Wicked Enemy tomorrow.
Blood Noir by Laurell K Hamilton comes out in paperback tomorrow. I am going to buy it and read it by next Tuesday so I am all caught up when Skin Trade comes out. I have been struggling with the last couple of books in this series. Currently reading The Harlequin and it is a little better, a little (teeny tiny) more plot. I can’t give this series up, I am too invested in the characters but my enjoyment of the series has definitely suffered.
I am tuckered out from picnics but it has been a fun weekend. Hope everyone else has been enjoying the outside!

Hey Mandi ~ Soak up some of that baby goodness for me too… A fifteen yr old seems to be enough for my “real” life, but I would to have a baby in my arms… if they did not grow up to want to shop all the time and drive me bananas!! LOL!! Gotta love Brooke!!!

Oh wow!!! You are right!! That is why I enjoy my 15 yr old to much!!! But don’t cha just love the smell of a baby!! And the way you can give it back!!! LOL!
I <3 Clay (and Elena!) – he's one of my fictional boyfriends…I thought Paige's story was okay but liked C&E more.
I like LKH too, but I also think it's getting to be a bit much – when you need to diagram with a protractor and graph paper to figure out who goes where..whew! And yet I still keep reading her stories :)
I’ve only read Bitten myself but I read it way back when it very first came out. Good Book! I plan on reading the rest of the series.
I want to read Wicked Lovely, read so many good reviews on it.

I wouldn’t mind having some of those books arriving in my own mailbox! I’m waiting for The Awakening and The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong, I’ve never read anything she’s written earlier and I’m looking forward to it. I think I have to read the Bitten series as well!
