For this challenge you will need to read seven books in six months. To complete the challenge the title or author’s name will need to begin with the letters R-O-M-A-N-C-E and must be classified as a romance novel (this includes as romance sub genre including contemporary, historical or paranormal).
A Book Challenge
First, I just finished Revealed by Kate Noble and I will have my thoughts up tomorrow. Let me just give a hint and say my thoughts will be very much on the “OMG this is the best book ever written” side. Seriously, I know I just went through this drool thing with Lovely Wicked by Melissa Marr. I somehow have come across another book that I am all gaga over (Thanks to the Book Smugglers). Anyway, I will tell all tomorrow!
Until then, I have decided to do a book challenge, my first one! Royal Reviews is hosting the following:
R – Renegade – Sarah Parr
O – In Midnight Hour – Patti O‘Shea
M – Written on Your Skin – Meredith Duran
A – Witch Fire – Anya Bast
N -Branded by Fire – Nalini Singh
C – Covet – JR Ward
E – Eve of Destruction – S.J. Day
The books have to be read from June 1st through November 30th. I had the hardest time coming up with an “O” book. Thankfully I have wonderful people on Twitter who came to the rescue!
One last item, last night Vamp Fan Girl at Lovin‘ Me Some Romance found the excerpt for Hunting Grounds, book two in Patricia Briggs’ Alpha and Omega series. I adore this series and can not wait for this book to come out August 25th! For those who read it, I love Bran! ;)
I've never heard of Revealed but now I can't wait to read your review!
Good luck with the Romance Challenge!
I can't wait to read your thoughts on Revealed !! and I LOVE Bran too. did you read our interview with Patricia Briggs? We had to include a question about him! *wink*
I'm very curious about Revealed, I don't even know what the book is!
It is so nice when you get that totally awesome feeling with multiple books in a row.
I have Cry Wolf but still haven't read it!
Good luck with the challenge!
Ladybug – I'm still squeeing over this book!
Ana – Yes I read your interview!! I remember reading your review for Bone Crossed with my eyes half shut because I didn't want to read anything about the book before it came out:) I devoured your interview the moment it was posted. Oh Bran….
Amy – Definitely read the anthology "On the Prowl" first, Cry Wolf will make more sense:)
I did read Alpha and Omega from the anthology…last year! I keep telling myself I'm going to read it, but for some reason it keeps getting pushed aside. I know I'll like it so I don't know what the problem is! LOL
Amy – srsly, how many series do I have like that right now? I can't keep up..there is too much to read:)
Good luck :D
OMG…. I saw that up on VampFanGirls site last night… I can NOT Wait for some more Charles!!!! I mean… if there is an alpha male… honey, he is it!!!!!
Now, I can not wait to see your thoughts on this new book… because I have already went to goodreads and included that in my TBB list!
Thanks for telling Amy C to read On The Prowl first. I actually went buy it after I read Cry Wolf. I plan on reading that one before I read Hunting Grounds.
And I think I may take this challenge, I have never did one before… and I like this one!!!
Besides it would give me an excuse to skip over some books and read others… I hate the TBR pile… I never know where to go next!!!
Hope you are having a great day!
Nice challenge. Meredith Duran rocks!! I suck at challenges but I wish you the best of luck with this one!
Cecile – you should do the challenge!! We could cheer each other on!
Barbara – lol…we will see how I do. I need to schedule out the books so I am not reading all seven in Nov:)
Okay… I will do a post of it when I get home and see what books I have with those letters! I will do it!!! YAY!!! We will be each others cheerleader! And since I never did one… this will be my first!
**still thinking of Charles ~ sighing heavy**
Yay!!
*still think of Bran* ;)
cool challenge, look forward to the review.
Hey Mandi! Good luck on your challenge. :)
I can't wait to hear why 'Revealed' is the best book ever written. *wink* I've heard of Kate Noble around blogland but I've never read anything by her.
Is it August yet?? I'm dying for 'Hunting Ground'!!!
:) VFG
Hagelrat – *waves*
VFG – I will REVEAL it tomorrow ;)
Oh I must find that one of Kate Noble! I recall a historical of hers so I must find this one!
My first time posting here (and thrilled to find another reader who loves reading romance!) I'm following you now so I'll be here more.
Now off to make my first challenge too. I'm in! Great finding your blog through Cecile's blog!
