Although the last few books in this series have not been great (not even good) I still adore this series. The first 12 books are some of my absolute favorites so I can not give up on this series. I still need to read Blood Noir, the book before this one, and I plan to get to it soon. This one is already stirring up controversy with Anita and underage weretigers…sigh.
I have been waiting to read this one for weeks! It finally came in to my local bookstore. I have heard great things about it and can’t wait to start.
I pre-ordered Street Magic a long time ago from Amazon, after they suggested it as a book I would like. I am so glad I listened to Amazon, because I started this yesterday and it is really good…oh Jack Winter, you are such a baddie! Will get my thoughts up on it soon. It is the first book in the Black London series.
This was an impulse buy at Walmart. You know when you go to Walmart to buy dog food and toothpaste and you end up spending $100 on miscellaneous crap? I swear every time they suck me in. At least $7 of my overspending was worth it! First of all, this is an awesome cover. Secondly, I have read an interview at Lovin‘ Me Some Romance and it got me very interested.
Now husband close your eyes – ok, I also bought Melissa Marr’s three books – Lovely Wicked, Ink Exchange and Fragile Eternity, and Revealed by Kate Noble in print. I have all on my Kindle, but for books that I truly love, I like to have them physically sit on my bookshelf. It kills my husband when I double buy books:) How was I to know when I originally bought them as e-books I would love them so much:)
I hope everyone received good books this past week too! Happy Monday!

It sounds like you have it bad, just like me. I hope you enjoy your books!

LOL, I'm with you on having to double buy the books you love, much to hubby's horror! You are going to love The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, well I hope you are, it's a fantastic read!
Mandi says
bermuda onion – yes, I have it bad for books!
Teddyree – I have heard great things about the book. And best of all, if I REALLY like it, it is in print, so I don't have to buy it again:)

Lord Ian is a lovely read. I don't think you will be disappointed in it. As for Anita Blake's sexual adventure, I have passed on her a long time agao. Still miss the good old days when she was torn between the vamp and the werewolf.
Barbara says
Oooh, I hope you like Jennifer Ashley's book! I'm definitely getting Rhyannon Byrd's series, too, after reading VFG's reviews.
Lea says
Hey Mandi:
You are a stronger woman than I sticking with LKH and Anita, however I hope you enjoy. I'll look forward to reading your thoughts.
I have Street Magic on my radar and will order it when I back hoe through some of the alps. Yikes…
You have a great Monday and week.

Your post made me laugh.
I never have a problem with my husband buying a new gadget or golf club, etc because I know he'll never complain about my book purchases.
Hey, there are far worse habits, right?!
Mandi says
EH- Street Magic is great.
KB – yeah..Anita had some good times..too bad they are all in her past.
Lea – not stronger..really. Is quite depressing to what has happened to that series.
Mary – yes, I encourage him to buy his things all the time. (to throw back at him when he complains about books..so mature we are:)
Mari says
It is so hard not to buy books, isn't it? And the Melissa Mar books are really great. I have yet to read Fragile Eternity, though.
Here is what I got this past week.
Blodeuedd says
I just found Marr, the first one, in the library today :D
Mandi says
Yay!! Let me know how you like it.
Mari – Love your blog:)
Tia says
I love Rhyannon Bird books. LOVE THEM. And there's nothing wrong with buying double! Ebooks just aren't the same as physically owning them. How are you supposed to fill your keeper shelves with computer files? And won't the Kindle look pretty sitting up there all by it's lonesome? (grimace)
VampFanGirl says
Great book haul Mandi!
I have the Jennifer Ashley book too. Now to find the time to read it. I've also read 'Edge of Hunger' and enjoyed it.
Happy Reading,
VFG

Tia – lol..see, you get me:) Can't wait to start the Rhyannon Byrd series!!
