The books I read in June, presented by George Clooney:
Revealed – Kate Noble – Honestly, not only one of the best of the year I have read, one of the best I have ever read. Marcus Worth is the best beta hero. Great historical romance.
Silent Blade – Ilona Andrews – Great short story, such a unique world and very romantic.
In The Midnight Hour – Ryne is quite the girl fighting demons, especially with the help of Deke. The third in this series just came out yesterday. I recommend.
Street Magic – Caitlin Kittredge – My favorite UF of the month! Oh Jack Winter…you are my favorite cranky bad ass. Can’t wait to get more of you in December.
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie – Jennifer Ashley – One of the best historical romances I will read this year. Lord Ian, you naughty, smexy man. Can not wait to read about your brothers.
Eve of Darkness – S.J. Day – Cain and Abel have met their match in Eve. These brothers will make you all hot and bothered. Just started the second book in this series, a must read for paranormal/UF fans.
Somebody Killed his Editor – Josh Lanyon – I am a Fanyon. Nothing else to say.
Marked – P.C and Kristin Cast – Although I did not thoroughly enjoy the story, (review to come soon), many did and say the next book or two are really good. So I may continue the series….or maybe not :)
Blue Bloods– Melissa De La Cruz – Really good YA, can’t wait to read the next.
Just the Sexiest Man Alive – Julie James – Very cute story, however (and it is a big however), no steamy romance scenes. I am fine with that if it is an ongoing UF series, but this is a stand alone contemporary romance. I barely got a kiss out of the story. I will write a review up soon, but until then…this story could have used more on-page romance! Andrew is verra smexy, would have been nice to read about him nekkid. (This concludes shallow portion of post)
I only read ten books this month, which is low for me. Maybe the summer warm nights are keeping from reading, or Twitter, or blogging. Anyway, although I only read ten, a couple will be on my top 20 list at the end of the year.

Speaking of smexy men, Happy Anniversary to the smexiest man of all, my husband. We have been married nine years today.
Why hello George. :D
I just posted my reading list for June. Look at us!
I just read yours:) And now I want to know what this awesome book you read is!
I am building up the anticipation. Friday…
Happy Anniversary!
Thanks for the heads up on Just the Sexiest Man Alive. Really? Barely a kiss? Unusual for a contemporary romance, don't you think?
Mary – The story was great..I finished the book in one sitting! And I have heard really good things about her second book, Practice Makes Perfect. There was tons of sexual tension..just surprised me there wasn't one big love scene.
Isn't Ian Mackenzie great?
I'll have to pick up Revealed if you say it is that good!
Well, you read more than me this month. I only managed to read 8 books and two of those were short stories!
Happy anniversary to you and your smexy hubby!
Amy – Yes, Ian is great. If you like historicals, Revealed is not to be missed!!
Hi Mandi!
George can tally off my reading list anytime!!
I managed to get ten books read in June, but two were the length of a novella, so I'm not sure I should count those. LOL
Have you check out KMM site? Cool contest if you're into making book trailers.
Happy Anniversary!
There is sex in Julie James's second romance, 'Practice Makes Perfect'. I can highly recommend it.
Loved 'Lord Ian'. 'Revealed' is on order.
Dottie – Yes, I saw that on KMM site. I'm not a fan of book trailers..but it is a cool contest.
Sarah – Well good thing PMP has sex! :) Just kidding (sort of:). I do want to read it. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Revealed!
Very nice list, Mandi :) I'm so glad you enjoyed Revealed, as I just bought it :)
I see that you've read The Midnight hour by Patti O'Shea. Personally, I think her best books have been The Power of Two and Through the Crimson Veil :P
Very nice list Mandi and of course I go away with a few that sound very interesting *sigh* :D
Happy anniversary with your smexy guy!
Nath – Thanks for the Patti O'Shea recs:)
Leontine – Thanks! :)
Great list you got through this month Mandi..
I totally agree with you – Lanyon so rocks..
E.H>
Oooh, George Clooney :D
I liked Jennfer Ashley's book. I want to get my hands of Ms. Nobles.
Great list!
Happy Anniversary!
Oh. My. God. The KMM teaser!!!! Can't wait!
OK, so you totally got me on the Kate Noble. Must go look it up, now!
Great reading list for the month, Mandi. :-)
Happy Anniversary Mandi!
Well, Happy Anniversary!! :) Hope the day is a good one.
EH – Yes he does:)
Barbara – Yes, Clooney is a fine specimen.
Patti – AHHH!!! I really need that book!
Renee – Yay..Kate Noble rocks.
VFG – Thanks:)
Janicu – Thanks!! :)
Wonderful list of yours for June and to have George list it for you, well you are sumthin special!
Congrats on the Smexy Anniversary!
I was surprised there was not sex scene in Just the Sexiest Man Alive, too. I wouldn't say it bothered me necessarily, but I was a little thrown off by it.
Happy Anniversary, I'm glad you liked Street Magic I've been looked at it last week & debated to buy it or not.
lol Presented by George Clooney. Too funny.
Good list! I really liked Just The Sexiest Man Alive even though it didn't have the blazing sex scenes in it. It was like when I read Twisted Creek – fab even with no sex! :)
The Madness…Wonderful book, just wonderful. So glad you liked it.
I can't wait to read Somebody Killed His Editor
I love the Julie James books too, but yes they are almost chaste. But I liked their interaction and humor so much I was okay with it. Even though I usually drift towards steamier fare.
I'm late but Happy Anniversary, Mandi and Mandi's husband!! I hope you had a lovely day :)
My, my aren't you the lucky girl?! Having George over to present your reading list LOL.
