My July reading list presented by Eric Bana:
To Taste Temptation – Elizabeth Hoyt (Rating 7) – The first in The Legend of Four Soldiers series, I really enjoyed Samuel. I will post the review soon.
Eric’s thoughts –I want to play Samuel in the movie. I think I can pull off tortured war hero and smexy lover.
Eve of Destruction – S.J. Day (Rating 8) – The second in the Marked series, this was a favorite of mine this month. Cain, Abel and Eve have quite the triangle going on.
Eric’s thoughts – I want to make it a square.
What Happens in London – Julia Quinn (Rating 9)- One of the sweetest books I have read!! Harry Valentine is an adorable beta hero. Good laughs in this one too.
Eric’s thoughts – Beta heroes are for wimps..I need to teach Harry the meaning of “possessive”
Branded by Fire – Nalini Singh (Rating 9) – The sixth in her Psy/Changeling series and they are only getting better. One of my favorite series.
Eric’s thoughts – Every time I get excited I shapeshift – my form has been a skunk. Don’t tell the ladies.
Bitten – Kelley Armstrong (Rating 8) – First in her Women of the Otherworld series and I must say, Clay may sneak his way onto my boyfriend list. What a great character and really good book!
Eric’s thoughts – Yeah, Clay could totally kick my butt. While he is at it, Harry should take notes.
The Sweet Scent of Blood – Suzanne McLeod (Rating 7) – Good start to her new Spellcrackers.com series! I want to know more about Malik!
Eric’s thoughts – My secret fear is vampires coming to get me. This is the only time my skunk shapeshifter abilities come in handy.
Passionate – Anthea Lawson (Rating 7) – Great historical romance set in Tunisia. My review is coming this week.
Eric’s thoughts – I must admit that is a suave move of James to whisk his lover off to a foreign country.
The Thief – Megan Whalen Turner (Rating 8) – Excellent YA book! A story about a man who thinks he can steal anything. Very cute.
Eric’s thoughts – I know I can steal any woman’s heart – Holla.
Eric wants to remind everyone his movie, Time Traveler’s Wife, opens August 14th.
If you haven’t read the book, go get it now! One of my absolute favorites!!
I've just ordered 'The Thief' on the basis of The Book Smugglers' appreciation piece! Loved 'What Happens in London'. I also thought 'To Taste Temptation' was wonderful, so I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on it.

Hey Mandi! I'm very jealous that you are such good friends with Eric Bana. Could you please send him over to my house so we can…discuss romance novels. Yeah, that's it. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the heads-up about the Jeaniene Frost books…I just finished the first one, Halfway to the Grave, and I LOVED it! I am totally in love with Bones (but don't tell Eric!). Thanks so much!
