There will not be a new Alpha and Omega book out in 2010. Instead, when Patricia is finished writing Silver Borne, the fifth Mercy Thompson book, she is going to edit her first ever book, Masques. Currently, Masques is selling on Amazon anywhere from $300-$500, so yay for a re-release! ;)
There is also an unpublished sequel, Wolfsbane that will be edited and released. So those three books will be published next year and give Patricia Briggs a little head start on the next A&O book in 2011.
Also – Moon Called, her first Mercy Thompson book will come out in Hardcover and Bone Crossed will come out in paperback in February 2010.
Personally, I would be disappointed if we didn’t get a Mercy book next year, but I can wait another year for an A&O book. Patricia Briggs’ books have such quality writing, that if she needs some time to catch up, I say go for it:)

She's been working on a rewrite of Masques FOREVER. Hopefully soon we'll be able to get a re-release. :)
Really quite disappointed that we won't get a new A&O book in 2010…. but it seems that rewriting her first novel is something Briggs has been dying to do for some time now. Maybe she just needs to prioritize, get Masques out of the way, in order to completely focus on the Mercy world.
I am glad we get Silver Borne at least – I need my yearly Mercy fix!
;-; but A&O is the only books I read of hers!

I read Masque over 10years ago now (Think magic sword and shifters) – I would love to see what Dos Santos does with the cover, as I am hoping she revamp the cover as well..
On the A&O series – If she needs more time to tinker with my man Bran – yup I'm all for it..

I know I'm really late to comment, but thanks so much for the Patricia Briggs update. I love both her Mercy Thompson and A&O series (Mercy a bit more…), so am glad to know what's coming up. I've always wanted to read a bit more of Briggs' backlist fantasy novels. Maybe this rerelease of Masques will inspire me!
