I have known the manager of our local bookstore, Little Professor, for some time now. *waves* Hi Sarah!! A while ago, she asked me if I would want to do a “Smexy Recommends” display at her store. I thought it was a great idea! So I came up with twelve of my favorite books/series and wrote up little summaries about each one. We decided we needed a giveaway. So we stuffed a gift basket full of – An Edward Cullen action figure (hello!! I have one – and everyone else must have one too), copies of Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill and Dark Slayer by Christine Feehan, a journal, lipstick from Sephora, and a gift certificate to the liquor store – let’s face it – one of my favorite places to visit. Smexy is a lush. Anyway, back on track – we have a drawing and will randomly select someone in the near future to win all the goodies.

I know – the pink is so…last week ;)

Wow, that is so cool Mandi! I'd love to be near that bookstore and get my regular Smexy recs :) It looks great.
This is so great! I bet it was a lot of fun to do!
Great Mandi! I wish we have bookstores like that over here where we can just buy the novels we want to read instead of the so-called intellectual ones!
What a great idea! And what an excellent list!
Thanks! It was fun! You know I like to pimp books :)
Wow that's so cool! Looks fab!
That's awesome! Congrats!
Oh My God! So cool!!!!!! You're famous! :)
That is so cool :D
You keep pimping those great books, we all need a bit of smexy in our reads
Ohhh smexy pink recommendations. That is very cute!
That is…WAY COOL!!!!! OMG, love it!!
You Go Girl!!! That so freaking rocks! I am very proud of you! The world needs to know about the Smexy of books! I think that is great! I wish there was a local bookstore in my area… =( But I would wish Smexy was there too!!

You're takin' pimpin' to a whole new level! Sweet! :)
That's terrific Mandi! Love your display and there's never enough pink (yes I know my blog is black and blue but still)!
This is so awesome! And very smexy too ;)
That so cool, the basket of goodies looks great too. I have an Edward action figure too. ;)
Cool idea but pink will never ever get old. Ha!
That is so cool! Congratulations!! I wish my bookstore did something like that :)
Thanks for all the lovely comments:)
very very cool.
Congrats! That is awesome. Are you seeing a bump in traffic from it, do you think?
I don't really think so..LOL. My hometown doesn't love me *cries*
I had fun doing it though! :)
Oh, I love it! I wish your bookstore was by me :). That is just too fun!
OMG that is so cool! You're lucky to have such a great bookstore in your city =)
i think this is a fabulous idea.
ps: i love your recommendations…proof? i just ordered Goddess of the Hunt after reading your review ;)
Love all your recommendations (except for 'house of night' PC Cast – lol – under duress, huh?). Yay for your JR Ward, Melissa Marr & Patricia Briggs shout-out!
The display turned out fabulous! Tell Sarah I gave her props!!!
Neat idea Mandi and at least it gets you out of the house doing what you love best…
Fun photos as well…
your mom deserve a medal…

How awesome to have a relationship with a bookstore like that! *tamping down my green eyed monster* I'm just a tad too far away to come visit, and I usually go to the huge bookstores here in DC where I never see the same customer service person twice. Kramer Books is the only small-ish one near me and they don't sell enough romance for me to go there often.
But what a fabulous display you made and such a great way to recommend to other book buyers, just such a cool community feel to it!
Ehe display looks great. Don't know what to do with the extra "cowboy" fabric though!
You have more fabric, mom? Make me a kindle cover! :)
I have PLENTY of that fabric if Cuzzin Mom runs out;) I'm holding on to it just for you Smex;) I'm thinking a big old pot holder for when you're baking Christmas cookies.
Very cool what the bookstore did, nice.
hehe – pot holder. I could get a toaster and coffee pot cover too! And curtains! My kitchen could be gay cowboy man-titty themed! Husband would love it ;)
Hi Mandi :)
That is an amazing display!
Thank you for sharing.
Love & Best Wishes to you & yours.

I love it! That's awesome you could do something as fun as creating a display of your favorite reads. Go Smexy Books!!
This is like a total Carrie Bradshaw Sex and The City moment. You've made it! What a great idea! Can I say, I'm still a fan of the pink, I just can't let it go
How cool, Mandi! That's awesome. :)
Little Professor had a great idea! In most of the box stores I go to the Recommend Reads section does not carry over into Romance and definitely not Paranormal Romance.
That is true – I need to open my own store – Romance would be very prevalent!! :)
How very cool is that! You're practically famous.
I love the display. :)
