Broken by Shiloh Walker *Excerpt*

Broken

(Wouldn’t you like those arms around you? Just sayin’)

Shattered
Quinn Rafferty is working as a bounty hunter and bail bondsman in St. Louis when a new neighbor catches his eye. He’s tempted by her beauty—but he knows from experience that anyone desperate enough to live in his building is damaged goods. Besides, he has his own soul to mend before he can worry about anyone else.

Desperate
Sarah McElya is on the run, but not for the usual reasons a woman goes on the lam. She’s not an abused wife, and she’s not a criminal. But she does have a plan for her future. And as much as she finds herself attracted to her gruff, tough neighbor, she can’t risk telling him the secrets she’s hiding. There’s just too much at stake.

Driven to desire…
But Quinn must get closer to Sarah when she turns out to be the target of his new missing persons case, and he discovers that there is something more complex and dangerous to her than he thought. Now, both Quinn and Sara will have to expose their true feelings—as well as their fragile hearts—if they hope their love will survive…

I’m really excited for Broken, due to release March 2nd. I have heard such great things about Shiloh Walker’s books and I am very excited to try this one!

She just posted a sneak peek!

Level with me. I read Shiloh Walker's Hunter book 1 yrs ago, thought it was okay. Is this series better?

Yes, yes, yes to the arms! That is one heck of a hunk of man : ) I would love to have a life-sized copy of that cover. You know…it's so nice to have a man around the house!

You should read Fragile first. Quinn is that hero's brother and you get a lot of who he is in that book. Plus, it's all sorts of awesome.

Oh crap, I didn't notice his arms when I first saw the cover. I guess I just started at the bottom an worked by way up. I must have gotten stuck before I got to the arms! HA!

Virginia – Yes – great business – life-size cutouts of smexy book covers!

Lori – oooh…thanks for the heads up! I like awesome ;)

FV – If I had started at the bottom, I wouldn't have made it to his arms either.

It does sound good (although I'm so hanging out for a not beautiful heroine), but I definitely want to read Fragile first!

I'm so looking forward to Broken.
Shiloh writes deeply passionate sexy stories with a lot of heart. I've only read all of her contemps so far.Expect to become addicted.

I am so ready for this book.. and you must read FRAGILE without it you will miss out on some of what will make BROKEN special…

I did a review for it a while ago – if feels like forever now …

    http://erotichorizon.blogspot.com/2009/04/review-fragile-shiloh-walker.html

I hope you end up liking Raffety as much as a tone of us did…

Personally I find Walkers single titles and short series to be head and shoulders above her Hunter series… I might get lynched for saying that…. but I do..
