Silver Kiss Book Tour

Smexy is happy to have Naomi Clark, author of Silver Kiss, guest blogging today!

What’s the one thing no good story is complete without? It’s got to be romance – surely a vital component for any novel, no matter the genre. Love is something we can all identify with, even in the midst of werewolves, vampires, or any other fantastical being.

A good romance can add conflict and passion to a story, and create a lot of new problems for the characters to overcome. And in the case of those fantastical creatures, it gives them a human element that we readers can empathise with. Of course, loving a werewolf is probably never going to be easy, let alone being a werewolf in love!

Ayla, the heroine of SILVER KISS has made a lot of sacrifices for her love, Shannon. For one thing, Shannon’s a human, and Ayla’s parents would much rather see her with a nice werewolf. And throughout the novel, Ayla must make difficult choices when her Pack’s demands put her at odds with Shannon. There’s a lot of fighting, a lot of tension, and a lot of making up again afterwards.

I’ve got a great contest for everyone. There’s an ebook for a winner at the end of today and everyone who enters now will also be in the running for winning a signed print copy of SILVER KISS drawn at the end of the week. Just answer this simple question in your comment to be entered into both competitions:

What do you think would be the hardest thing about dating a werewolf?

Follow the SILVER KISS BLOG TOUR (http://www.queeredfiction.com/silverkiss.htm) for more chances to win. Check out the itinerary and join me on the next step of the tour. Tweet about it @queeredfiction and #silverkiss for more entries into the drawings!

Visit the Silver Kiss page at http://www.queeredfiction.com/silverkiss.htm for a reading as Naomi Clark reads from Wolf Strap! (Released in parts over the course of the blog tour!)

Thanks Naomi! To enter for an e-book of Silver Kiss, just answer the question above. Contest open just through today and I will announce the winner tomorrow!

I think the hardest thing about dating a werewolf would be the fact of wrapping my head around the whole fact that he is indeed a werewolf. Because, come on-if your boyfriend randomly told you he was a werewolf, would you believe him at first?

This is such a great contest and I would love to win an ebook. I don't know if u need my email so I'll give it anyway:

I think it would be hard to deal with when he has to shift and become a wolf. You couldn't plan activities as a couple.

I think that the hardest thing about dating a werewolf would be witnessing the change itself. Knowing how physically taxing it is to her/him would be hard to watch. Living with someone with a non-life threatening chronic disease can get very wearisome, and knowing that part of that disease was the potential for an enormous amount of pain every month would be hard to live with.

I think the hardest part about dating a werewolf would have to be cleaning up after his every shift…Can you imagine the amount of hair he could potentially shed? Not that it would deter me from being with him…but I foresee a mini vacuum in every room.

    Happy Reading

All those torn bedsheets. A werewolf would be hell on lingerie.

Hardest thing about dating a werewolf, hmm… Territorial pets, and the smell of wet fur after they've been out in the rain.

Also, having to hide it from the majority of the world. It's not like being a werewolf is something inconsequential, like having a mole on your leg. It's a huge thing, and having to pretend to people that it doesn't exist must be seriously difficult sometimes!

I think the hardest thing would be the werewolf getting along with my dog.. and I would probably have to clean up alot more fur around the house ;)

The whole Alpha and age thing.

I don't deal well with over protective "you'll listen to me because I know what's best" attitude.

And then there is the aging. Most werewolves live longer. So unless your already magic or are willing to be turned…your going to age MUCH faster.
    That would suck.

"Hardest thing about dating a werewolf"? Pretty obvious if he's male, I'd've thought.

    Most difficult? Now, that's trickier….

Hey Mandi don't enter me please I just want to answer the question *rubs hands together*

The hardest part about dating a werewolf would be the hair, I used to have a long haired dog do you know how annoying it is to vacuum everyday. Plus I prefer my men to be manscaped.

*shakes head to keep my dirty mind out of this answer* I guess it would be the whole posessiveness thing. And maybe keeping them clothed (although that wouldn't actually be a problem, would it? *g*). I'm guessing they go through a lot of clothing.

I think the hardest thing would be the visit to the doctor – hard to choose which one…vet or doctor? but honestly, an ill man is as stressful as an ill werewolf *gg*

The hardest thing about dating a werewolf? The cost of the lint rollers to keep the hair off of your clothes.

I think the hardest thing would be getting use to the fact that they go hunting in wolf form. Plus, there is a different aging factor, and it would be odd to have your love stay younger while you get older.

The fact that he can kill his own food with his paws and his teeth and that he eats it as is. I think it would be hard to kiss him with his bloody face and breath.
