There are SPOILERS for LOVER MINE and BDB world in general BELOW!!!!
JR Ward held an online chat last night, and here is what we learned:
- John Matthew will never know for sure that he used to be Darius. In Dark Lover, the scribe virgin told Darius he will have no conscious memory in his new life. Once JM gets to the fade, all will be revealed.
- Publisher just bought two short stories – one featuring Rhage, Mary and their baby troubles which she will begin to write in two weeks. The second will feature, Wrath, son of Wrath the future king which she will start this winter. They will be in paperback.
- She refuses to comment on whether No’One will be Tohr’s mate.
- There will be more with Murdher – he has some big surprises in store.
- She has talked to producers about a possible series/miniseries/movie. She is looking for the right producer to do it. Right now, she is just happy about the books.
- JR Ward is working on the scene right now in the next book where Manny fixes/saves Payne’s back. Things progress from there with them. She says V has a hard time with Manny smexin’ up his sister and “Thank god for Butch.” (<—Butch and V…swoon)
- When asked if there will be new characters introduced, she says there are three males from the Old Country waiting in the wings – she is not sure when they will be introduced. The training center will also be active again. (<—3 new males..I like)
- JM and Qhuinn will definitely be inducted into the brotherhood – Blay, she said we’ll see and gave her standard – keep reading. (<—huh? poor Blay)
- She has not fully decided, but she is leaning towards writing a novella for Blay and Qhuinn with full m/m sex scenes. (THANK YOU WARD!)
- Xhex does get that tattoo – but not done by V.
- The Scribe Virgin may pull out of her “funk” in Payne and Manny’s book.
- We will be seeing Qhuinn’s frozen brother (who Lash had) in a future book.
If I missed anything big let me know – my eyeballs were ready to fall out by the end. She has some crazy chats :) In a few days, they will have the full transcript from the chat on her message boards.
I bow to the fount of all things translated from that dreaded forum.

I am nervous that she won't commit to saying that Tohr and No'One are HEA, I mean it feels like a no-brainer but I need her to say it!

I want to read Blay/Qhuinn's story in all it's hotness. Of all updates Blay not being inducted as a Brother makes my heart ache. Being a Brother doesn't seem to hold his inner dialog as much as JM and Qhuinn's but I'd think it is a very important part of how he identifies himself. If not a brother what? black cloud rolls in…. could he die? That of course would be heartbreaking. I like Blay every bit as much as Qhuinn – having one without the other? Just not right.

Pamela – I don't know if JR Ward confirmed Lash was dead..that was just my conclusion….I can't remember if she confirmed or not..we will have to wait for transcript.
Styles – JR Ward is tricky with her wording..she said JM and Qhuinn will definitely be inducted..as for Blay – KEEEEEEP READING..which means – there is much more that is going to go into it. I don't know if it means he WON'T be inducted..but I think it means it will be complicated.

– Novellas. That's like music to my ears. Question. "Wrath, son of Wrath the future King" as in the Wrath we all know and love or Beth and Wrath's son. I'm actually hoping for the former as that might pave the way for more BDB books with a historical twist.
– My relationship with Lash (yes we had one) was completely love/hate. He was the such a good villain. I hate to see him go and hope she miraculously brings him back.
– Big shout out to KindleVixen for totally stumping WARDen with her question on how the Brothers knew Lash was Omega's son!! I think that was one of my highlights from the chat.

I don't think I will ever tread in the waters of a JR Ward chat but i do love your recaps Mandi. At one hand I love it that we get full M/M acton between blay and Qhuinn but I am greedy regarding their story…I want a full length 500+ pages story. I do not wish for much right?

I continue to wonder, though, why she keeps hooking up the Brothers with mates who can't have children? Mary is infertile, Jane is a ghost…who exactly are the Chosen supposed to "be" with? Maybe these three new males coming around will help?????

I'm so happy about almost everything, except for the Tohr/NoOne-maybe-thing, I hope she's NOT his new mate. He needs a happier, stronger, more full of life girl. He's sad enought.
I think Payne's book will be one of the best. Poor V will go crazy. Jane and Manny have a history, Manny is related to Butch, Manny will fall in love with Payne, and I'm also curious to see Butch reaction when he meets the female vertion of V. I can't wait.

Girl!! I don't need to tell you how grateful I am you took notes. I finally finished and was shocked about No'One. I don;t remember her from any of the other books. Has she been mentioned before? Anyhow, i am so team Quay, not even funny. In fact, i found myself skipping chapters after a quay chapter just to see what happens. Did she mention a release for Payne and Manny??
OMg exited even though its a total shame Blay and Quinn arnt straight I'm glad because they are so perfect for each other. I hope that Blay and Quinn is after Paynes story.

I've been hanging out for a Rhage/Mary storyline since 'Wrath' dropped the hint in the DBD insider's guide about them adopting. I feel like Mary and Rhage have just been shoved aside in recent books… Mary especially, she gets jumped with everyone's psychological problems, but no plot for herself!
I wonder if Blay won't become a brother because he's going to become a Havers-like doctor? Choose love, not war, so to speak. lol
YAY! Qhuinn/Blay novella! Hell's yeah! 'Lover Mine' got me so psyched for these two!

Layla and Muhrder (I forget where the "h" goes)… I thought the same thing. I think the reason we endured the entire "ghost hunter" story is to show that he has learned from his past and now knows that when you find a female of worth, she is worth the fight, no matter what. I think he will love and care for Layla with every ounce of his being.
Dani: I felt similar when we found out Xhex was JM's mate and she did their story wonderfully! I have faith that Ward will show us a No'One that will be perfect for Tohr!
Blay's future in question: I'm not worried at all… Why does he have to be a brother? He may want to do something else – like Danielle say – a doctor, or ??? I don't see the comments as troublesome.
Lash… I was disappointed by his story line in LM… I mean, the Omega went BACK IN TIME to create a son – someone to raise above all others. And then the Omega tosses him out b/c Lash needs to feed and asks for a female?! REALLY?! I was put off by that. And, with his mysterious transformation, to just have him die… well, it was disappointing. I like how JM and Xhex did him in, but it was too easy. I wonder if he'll be back – we know the Omega has the ability. OR maybe Lash was transformed enough that he didn't really die – maybe it completed his transformation.
