Favorite Quote:  “Deny all you want, convince yourself that I will settle for only one night. But the way I feel for you isn’t fleeting. It’s not a whim. It’s certainly not supernatural It’s my heart. It beats for you, Moira.”

It’s been 2 weeks since the demon Envy-one of the Seven Deadly Sins- wrecked deadly havoc on Santa Louisa. The demon has been contained but now the order is getting reports of bodies turning up in LA bearing the same satanic marks. Demon hunters Moira and Rafe both fear that the deadly war between good and evil has just begun.

Racing to LA, Moira and Rafe discover that the demon Lust has made the City of Angels it’s personal playground. A powerful coven of witches have summoned the demon Lust, aided by Moira’s evil mother, Fiona. Moira and Rafe are suddenly caught in a supernatural war; pitting mortal and demonic forces against them. And as Moira’s own powers start to intensify, she fears that she will once again put those she loves in danger.

In the second book of Allison Brennan’s super charged Seven Deadly Sins series-Carnal Sin– Moira is once again forced into war by an Order that doesn’t completely trust her and an evil who wants to possess her. Moira and Rafe are still recovering from the deadly battle with Moira’s mother. Though the demon Envy was contained, Lust was able to get away. Now they are receiving reports that people are dying in LA and they believe they have found Lust.

When Moira and Rafe arrive in L.A. they find an decadent coven of witches that may be the catalyst that Lust requires to break completely free of it’s demonic bonds. As Moira deals with her increasing nightmares and psychic episodes she is also trying to deny the passionate feelings she has for Rafe. But Rafe would give his life for Moira…and that’s what Moira fears will happen.

The first book, Original Sin, grabbed me and had me on the edge of my seat as I traveled through Ms Brennan’s world of demons, witches, and the battle between good and evil. In Carnal Sin I continued my ride and I have no complaints. A strong plot whose intertwining story lines and fantastical appealing characters creates a world that drags you in and holds you enticed till the very end.

The premise, good vs evil, is an old one, but Ms Brennan twists and manipulates till your really not sure who is good or bad. Moira is a fantastic heroine who’s vulnerability and the fatalism that surrounds her appeal to you in a way that makes you rebel against the fate she has accepted for herself. Rafe takes up a heavy position in this story as he and Moira partner up, even against the advice of Anthony and Rico. Anthony hasn’t forgiven Moira yet and Rico (Moira’s trainer from the order) has his own reasons for wanting Rafe far away from Moira.

Rafe is just what Moira needs. Regardless of what everyone thinks, Moira needs a strong body at her side…and Rafe wants to be that in every possible way she needs. The sexual tension in the book between them is hot and heavy and Ms. Brennan does a fabulous job of incorporating their passion into the plot.
Even though the story centers on Rafe and Moira we are given access to more secondary characters and clues to the underlining story-what exactly is Moira and what part will she play in the final outcome. I do wish that we could get the full story behind Anthony’s animosity towards Moira. I have a feeling there is more then what has been hinted it. As it stands right now, Anthony’s anger is way to strong and it’s becoming a tad annoying. And the face that everyone ignores his nastiness is a little disconcerting.

Ms Brennan has created another winning suspense paranormal romance that’s guaranteed to hold you captive till the end.

I enjoyed the first book in this series but it was a slow start for me. Is this another slow starter? I think I'll give this one a go even if it is :)

One time it was school hidaloy and i was really boredit was a rainy day and i couldn’t go out so i decided to play a prank on my parents. well we have got a crap 30 year old car (ANCIENT) and i thought it was time that car got cared after by southerner family in other words GET RID OF IT! so i went on my computer and printed out some FOR SALE signs with my dads mobile number and email address andi put all of the details about the car like price and miles and petrol info and all that. about 1 week later a guy phoned up and asked to arrange a test drive with my dad and he was totally confused. so first he asked my mom if she new anything about this car sale. obviously she new nothing, but i did heheheh. so he went outside and saw our car with signs all over it ( printed about 50 sheets) and staright away he ripped them all off. his face was raging and red and luckily i got a picture of. i am soooooo going to share it on facebook. and to make a story short i got double grounding for doing that prank and sharing the pic on facebook. i am glad it rained for anouther 2 weeks non stop so i coulden’t go out anyway heheheheh SUCH A BIG PRANK. BY THE WAY I AM PLANNING ON DOING ANOUTHER ON PRANK SO WATCH OUT FOR ME!!!
