Favorite Quote: This first time had taken off some of the edge but she still wanted him.
Would always want him

Wolf shifter Kaine Giliati has never forgotten John Simmons. Even after he agreed to the memory wipe to forget her. As Kaine pines for John, her heart frozen in pain, she is also dealing with not being able to shift to wolf. For months John Simmons has been dreaming of a beautiful woman. One that speaks to his heart though he is sure he has never met her. Then one night he sees her in a bar. And she agrees to come home with him. One night of raw erotic passion opens up the doorway to John’s memories and sets him on a path of magic, danger, and love.

Edge of Moonlight is the third installment in the Lucani Lovers series. Kaine Giliati is an Etruscan shifter. An assassin in the Lycan king’s army. In Moonlight Ménage (book 2 in the Lucani Lovers series) Kaine helped save John and his sister Eve from kidnappers and fell hard for John. But John could not deal with the supernatural world and and choose to have his and Eve’s memories wiped clean. This broke Kaine’s heart but she understood and let go.

In the present Kaine is suffering shock from John leaving and being shot during the rescue. She is unable to
shift and no one knows. John is also having trouble though he doesn’t realize it yet. He is having dreams about a mysterious woman he doesn’t know and Eve is experiencing some troubling side effects from the kidnapping.

When John and Kaine meet up in a bar, Kaine does not let on she knows him but also doesn’t discourage his interest. When she agrees to go back to his home for a drink she knows this can only be a one time affair. But when Eve comes home and has a magical episode, Kaine and John have to work together work together to save Eve. No matter the cost.

I thoroughly enjoyed  Edge of Moonlight. This is my first time reading about Ms. Julian’s Lucani Lovers and I am hooked. Kaine and John made a believable and “oh so smexy” couple. John is uber alpha and yummy. Kaine, while not slouching in the kick ass department, has a sweet vulnerability that is touching. Their chemistry is hot and their loving even hotter.

The story line was a fast read with an engaging plot but also some humor thrown in to keep it from becoming to dark. The supporting characters are all well developed and hold their own in the story. Only one little thing bothered me. When a major goddess gives John a special crystal to help locate Kaine, they build it up in the story. The impression given was that the crystal’s locating abilities had something to do with John’s feelings for Kaine. But nothing is revealed in the story about how the crystal is used. John just “finds” Kaine. I expected more from that storyline.

All in all, Edge of Moonlight is an thrilling ride of suspense and romance in a world of sexy shifters. I will be reading the first two in the series and waiting breathlessly for her new installments.
