10. My week – Saw Eclipse with all my girlfriends, celebrated ten years of wedded bliss, and we are going camping this weekend. Because I actually had a life this week, I didn’t get a lot of reading time in. See #6. But don’t fear – I shall become a hermit once again next week!
9. Fun news on the J.R Ward front – Merchandise – Per her message boards she is in the early stages of developing T-shirts, mugs etc. Y’all know my bank account is in trouble. When I brought it up on Twitter, everyone came up with fun slogans..I hope JR Ward is paying attention – a few: Jaymzangel – “I want to be strapped to V’s table”, Inez Kelley wants a PJ shirt that says – “I’m in bed with Wrath”, Tracy_0404 “You feel me?”, Bocadeloba “True?”
I want a “Team Qhuay” shirt! And I also want John Matthew plastered against my chest. On a shirt of course.
8. Pamela tweeted a link to the blog, Hyperbole and a Half a few days ago and I seriously laughed my ass off at some of these posts! They are just silly drawings but oh..so…funny. This one is my favorite.
7. Something else I mentioned on Twitter this week (yes, I’m Twitter obsessed!) – Have you ever noticed how many times a hero is described as smelling dark? It is always, spicy, dark and exotic. Sometimes a little sandalwood is thrown in. WHAT DOES DARK SMELL LIKE? A musty basement? Do you know what is described as dark in m/m books? Is that what our heroes smell like?? I get authors are trying to say the hero smells masculine..but there has to be other smells out there. Seriously though..start paying attention to how many times “dark” is used.
6. I have no idea if anyone pays attention to my “Upcoming” posts at Smexy – but I’m not going to have Lady Isabella’s Scandalous Marriage review ready by tomorrow – see #1. ;) However, the first 100 pages of this book is good my peeps. Verra good. We are talking – naughty things with a scone and clotted cream good!!! If you haven’t read The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie get your booties to the store! So, so good. I’ll have the review up next week!
5. Oh hey – it is the end of the month which means it is time for Karen Marie Moning to torture us again with a teaser from her upcoming book, Shadowfever.

4. Charlize Theron is starring in the video for Brandon Flowers’ new single, Crossfire (video comes out July 8th.) It should have been me in that video. She better hope she never meets me in a dark alley. P.S – My boy has got some big feet. ;)
3. I saw Eclipse Wednesday night. I also visited the wine bar beforehand, so the movie is a wee bit sketchy to me..LOL. I liked it – but I really need to see it again.

1. That’s all I have. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend! Think about me camping out in the wilderness, bathing with daddy long legs, and sleeping with various insects. We have a plug at our site so the coffee pot is already packed. Hubs watched a show where you make coffee in a dutch oven and then you burn a stick and put it in the coffee to give it a hickory flavor or something…um…no. Coffee pot and Dunkin Donuts grounds are coming with. And my Kindle – I’ll read by firelight if I have to!!! Happy 4th!!

Good luck with the camping! You're a braver girl than I. But at least you will have access to a plug. If I were you, I'd be bringing one of those powerstrips with like 10 outlets on it and I'd end up shorting out the entire camp ground with all the crap I had plugged into it.
