Favorite Quote: "Asking whether you want to be on the top or bottom doesn’t mean she cares about you."

Lacey Terwilliger had everything. A good husband, a wonderful home, a solid marriage. Or so she thought. But when the town drunk aka florist delivers flowers to her that were meant for her husband’s mistress…well, hell hath no fury like a women scorned. As Lacey stews in anger and disbelief, her husband Mike reminds her that the newsletter they send to clients and family is due. Lacey decides that this is definitely newsworthy and proceeds to share the whole sordid story with their family, friends, and clients. The fallout over her escapade requires her to leave town and "hide" out the family lake house. While there she meets the reclusive crime author "Lefty" Monroe. Lefty doesn’t want the drama of a divorcee but soon he and Lacey have a meeting of the minds and other things that leave them both satisfied. As Lacey tries to deal with family, lawyers, and her soon to be ex husband…she soon finds that the best revenge in the world is letting go.

Written along the same lines as Jennifer Cruise; And One More Thing is one woman’s hilarious response to an age old dilemma. A delightful contemporary filled with love, laughter, and snarkiness. A smooth quick read with witty dialog that doesn’t disappoint.

Lacey is a wickedly funny character who thankfully doesn’t follow her MIL’s advice to, "go on a second honeymoon and forget the whole thing." She says what she means and means what she says. With her quick mind and even quicker mouth, Lacey had me rolling with laughter from page one. Her ways of dealing with a everyone knowing her business is with dignity, sarcasm, and plenty of beer. I adored Monroe’s character. Gruff and snarly he decides Lacey wants him and makes sure she knows he isn’t interested. The laughs just keep coming when Monroe realizes Lacey doesn’t want him and begins to pursue her. The slow evolution of his and Lacey’s relationship is a delightful journey filled with humor, insight, and lots of hawt sexy chemistry.

The supporting characters-from Lacey’s adorably snarky brother Emmett to her pragmatic "I got 911 on speed dial" lawyer-add life and non stop humor to the story. As Lacey tries to find her way back to herself she is mired down in anger and revenge.  Everyone has an opinion on Lacey’s behavior and the results of their "advice" results in heartache and illumination for Lacey. She soon realizes that in order to move forward, you sometimes have to just let go.

If your looking for a wickedly funny and sexy contemporary that will having you laughing out loud then I highly recommend picking up Molly Harper’s And One Last Thing.

Great review! I'm not familiar with this author and I'm a little burned out on PNR and UF right now (never dreamed I'd say that) so I might pick this one up.

Love the new blog format, too!!

Parrt-Wasn't it great? I laughed so hard. Emmett has to be my fav character in it. The fussing abt talking like your tweeting in public killed me.

Jenny-Girl, this book is full of snarky goodness. How funny-I always want to call Jane Jenna too.

    Nice review!

I read this book the other day and enjoyed it so much. I'm hoping there will be other books about Lacey in the future!

I'd recommend this book and Molly Harper's paranormal series.

Aug! My copy is lost somewhere. I bet the mailman knows how badly I want to read this book and is in my backyard with the parcel giggling at me. No, wait. That's kinda creepy. Maybe he ripped open my parcel because he's a closeted Molly Harper fan and will only deliver it once he's done. Yeah…that makes much more sense… ;)

    Nice review Tori!

Oh, this sounds great! I've seen this book around the traps (probably first here when the cover went up actually) and I've put it on my wishlist now. It's just the sort of thing I love to read. Thx for the review.
