10. You guys! I took the above picture! That’s right…I was about ten feet away from Brandon Flowers Saturday night in Atlantic City. Yes, I made hubs stand in line for five hours. No, I did not throw my unmentionables at him. No, I did not shout “You are a smexy beast.” Hubs was standing right next to me. It was an awesome show – even hubs, very begrudgingly said he liked it. The San Diego band Transfer opened for him and Hubs actually loved their stuff. It was good times. Hubs lost hard on the craps tables, but it was a fun weekend getaway. Now back to real life…
9. Cover Alert! One of my favorite authors, Kate Noble has just released her new cover for May 2011 release – Follow My Lead. (Go HERE to read the blurb). For those that read her last release, The Summer of You, this is Jason’s story. I adore her books and her style of writing. 6. Jen from That’s What I’m Taking About is hosting an Immortals After Dark Reading Challenge. FUN! This is one of my favorite series. One that I think gets better as the books go along. There are a few that I LOVE, and a few that I really don’t love. Anyway – go HERE to Jen’s site to read all the details. She has the challenge spread out over the entire year so it is very manageable.
5. Johnny Depp on the new issue of Vanity Fair. 47 and looking MIGHTY FINE. Who else can look like a pirate, wear a scarf, and make me swoon? Only JD. (P.S. #5 is dedicated to Fiction Vixen).
4. This video, So You Want to Write a Novel, has been going around the interwebs the past few days. It is really cute. Plus, it is done in that stupid computer voice the Kindle has. It makes me giggle when I have the text to speech option open on the Kindle and I get to hear a very erotic romance scene in the robot voice. It’s hot y’all!
3. A new (to me) favorite blog. Books, According to Nicole. We have similar tastes in books and she is so much fun to chat with on Twitter – although she tries to steal my book boyfriends! Go check her out!
2. Big news from Chloe Neill – not only do we get Hard Bitten in May (book 4 in her fab Chicagoland Vampire series) but we get ANOTHER book in November! Drink Deep. LOVE the title. Ethan can bite me anytime, just sayin’.
1. This weekend we do our annual Breakfast with Santa at the local fire station and then go to the tree farm to get our Christmas tree. And eggnog! Yay for eggnog. Will be a good weekend. Happy Friday!
