On The Hunt is a four story anthology written by some of the best Paranormal Romance authors in the business. Each story is a steamy romance wrapped in a strong cocoon of magic and fantasy. All of these are stand alone and do not require you to read previous books by these authors to understand.
“Every Night” by Gena Showalter
Every year on her birthday, Rose Pascal is swept across dimensions to a dark and forbidding world ruled by a young warrior king who hunts her kind. Born enemies, they will defy everyone and everything to be together.
A dark PNR full of action, magic and some delish smexy loving. Solid defined characters and a fast paced storyline. The ending was a bit anti climatic after the hyped up storyline. I would love to read a full novel about this world and it’s inhabitants.
Rating: B
“The Collector” by Shannon K. Butcher
When Neal Etan goes hunting for a powerful artifact to heal a fellow warrior he finds much more in Vivian Rowen. Her touch heals his pain and he knows she is the one he has waited a lifetime for. Now he just needs to keep her alive long enough to test the strength of their bond.
A short but intense novella from Ms. Butcher. Plenty of heart stopping action and a solid storyline gives us an exciting taste of her thrilling Sentinel War series.
Rating: A
“Crystal Skull” by Jessica Andersen
When Archaeologist Natalie Albright’s dig gets shut down due to demon rumors, she has to team up with her ex boyfriend to fight the creatures of the night she accidentally released. As Natalie and JT fight this ancient evil, answers about Natalie’s birthright will either bind them together forever or destroy them completely.
A dark fast paced PNR based on her Final Prophecy series. Two strong protagonists who’s chemistry leaped off the pages. Action packed with intense plot. The climatic ending had me wanting to start this series ASAP.
Rating: B
“Red Angel” By Deidre Knight
Jamie Angel, a deadly Nightshade demon hunter, has tracked every monster in the world. A known womanizer, nothing prepared him for Sunny Renfroe and the feelings she arouses in him. But when he finds out what she is, he must make a choice between his woman and his job.
A light PNR that started out fast and furious but petered out towards the middle and became silly in the end. Even with the well developed characters and an interesting plot; I found it hard to connect to our protagonists. They felt forced and superficial. I would have liked more emphasis on the plot and less on them.
Rating: C
Overall rating B+

Two B's, an A and a C is not bad for an anthology! Too bad that the last one petered out and got silly…
But good to know that these can all be read as a standalone.
Excellent review, Tori!
