Favorite Quote: “Yes, Xavier. I think you’re gorgeous,” he replied, a husky whisper that melted Xavier to the floor.
Xavier’s ex-fiance has screwed him over – big time. After falling in love with her at the office, he hired her as his in-house accountant at his Stratler Homes company. His ex siphoned off so much money, his company is now in financial ruin. Needing to build a case up against her so he can start to get his money back and repair damaged relationships with clients, he hires Jordan Beltan of Beltan and Beltan accountants to look over his books.
Jordan is gay, and is immediately attracted to Xavier. But knowing Xavier has an ex-fiancé that is female, assumes the attraction is one sided. What he doesn’t know is Xavier experimented with a man when he was a young adult. And although Xavier has only been with women since, those feelings are quickly rising back to the surface. Xavier can’t stop thinking about Jordan, and as they work together, their attraction comes out into the open.
Xavier’s Way is a pretty quick, very hot book about two men who act on a very intense attraction. I enjoy male/male romances where one man comes into the equation not thinking he is gay. In this situation, Xavier is not completely foreign to the idea of being with another man, but hasn’t thought about it in many, many years. The thought of being attracted to Jordan completely freaks him out. Sometimes I thought his actions to be a little over dramatic. Each kiss is rocks his world, each touch is so overly sensual. It is hot, don’t get me wrong, but Xavier just takes everything – whether it is his fears or his lust – and makes it so big. He falls SO hard for Jordan – although in the end, I do believe in his journey to falling in love with a man.
I adored Jordan. His helplessness in the beginning when he is so attracted to Xavier but thinks it will never be returned is so endearing. I love how he is patient with Xavier, but also makes it clear he is not some thing to be experimented on. The romance is hot in this one, and integrates within the plot well.
I enjoyed Xavier’s Way and will definitely be keeping my eye out for more from Diana DeRicci

I have become a die hard m/m fan in the last few weeks . I also love it when one character isn't gay. I am always looking for books to try. Have you got any other suggestions?
Why did this only get a C+? Your review sounds like you loved it.

I gave it a C+ because I didn't LOVE Xavier. He was a little over the top for me. But if you see in my rating system, a C is "I liked it, with just a few issues." So I liked this one – just had some probs with Xavier.
I definitely recommend – Faith and Fidelity by Tere Michaels. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4801582-faith-fidelity

Another straight to gay is The Assignment by Evangeline Collins.
Otherwise for just regular m/m – I love anything by LB Gregg, Josh Lanyon, Ava March…

I still haven't broken down and read a m/m written by a female author yet. I know I need to and your slowly convincing me to do it.
Mandi says
Ryan – you should try one…just one :) And maybe I'll seek out more male m/m authors :)

Great review! It is a interesting story line by having it where one character has experiemented before by hasn't done it since then and is now letting his feelings come back when a sexy man enters the picture! Sounds like a wonderful short story.
