Favorite Quote: “He’s probably some forty-something virgin who lives in his mother’s basement and touches himself while watching The Howling.”
Generations of werewolves have been secretly residing in a secluded valley a stone’s throw from Grundy, Alaska. So when a snooping Outsider comes to Grundy to investigate rumors of lycanthropic shenanigans in the area, the valley’s pack alpha, Maggie Graham, resolves to chase him away, even if doing so takes a quick bite on the butt. What a pity that researcher Nick Thatcher turns out to be so drool-worthy, and that his kisses make Maggie want to sit up and beg. Maggie just can’t seem to convince Nick to leave . . . and even worse, she can’t convince herself to stay away from him. Cross-species dating is problem enough for a harried alpha female, but on top of that, a rival group of werewolves is trying to move into the valley. With interpack war threatening, Maggie can’t afford to be distracted. Combining romance and a career can be tough for anyone; for a werewolf in love with a human, it may be disastrous. . . .(Goodreads)
In The Art Of Seducing A Naked Werewolf, Molly Harper takes us back to Grundy, Alaska and its lovable eccentric werewolf pack. Maggie Graham, whom were met in How To Flirt With a Naked Werewolf, is now the Alpha of her clan and takes her position very seriously. Her job is to keep the pack healthy, happy and above all else secure. But when researcher Dr. Nick Thatcher shows up in town asking questions about Mo’s attack (How To Flirt With A Naked Werewolf) and werewolf sightings, Maggie knows she has to get him out of Grundy fast. When Maggie first sees Nick she feels an instant connection but no matter how handsome he is or how good he smells, he has to go. But Maggie didn’t count on Nick’s stubbornness concerning the wolves or Maggie. Nick wants answers, he wants Maggie, and he’s not leaving till he has both.
I am a HUGE Molly Harper fan. From her contemporaries to her paranormals, Ms Harper writes rich snark filled hilarious stories filled with strong willed females and off the wall smexy men. The Art of Seducing A Naked Werewolf is a delightful paranormal romance filled with tongue in cheek humor, endearing characters, and some crazy shenanigans. Her characters are hysterical and provide much eye rolling and snorts of laughter as you slip smoothly into their lives. The storyline is a wonderful mix of love and suspense with an enjoyable conversational writing style.
Wickedly funny with her one liners and “kick ass now -ask questions later” attitude, Maggie is a brash, out spoken, intelligent, trouble magnet. Even though she was voted in as Alpha of her clan, there are those who feel she needs a man by her side to rule effectively. Her family and pack consistently sends her potential mates and remind her that humans are not acceptable. She is also dealing with a clan member who has dementia and someone who is playing nasty pranks on her. Attraction for a human is not on her “to do” list. But love doesn’t follow rules or pack so when Nick appears in the picture, he throws her life into a tail spin.
Nick is the perfect geeky beta. Smart, funny, and handsome; he has a boyish charm to him that tames Maggie’s wolf. A trekie fan to boot- he delights, intrigues, and frustrates Maggie to distraction. Nick doesn’t want to expose Maggie’s clan, he just wants answers to his questions. I found it utterly delightful how he tries to protect Maggie from harm when she could bench press him if she so choose. The laughs just keep coming when Nick discovers Maggie’s secret and decides she is the perfect female, urrr shifter, for him. The slow evolution of his and Maggie’s relationship is a delightful journey filled with humor, snarkiness, and lots of chemistry.
“I love you. I’m not trying to make this a dramatic goodbye moment. I just want to tell you now… I’ve never loved anyone the way I love you. I’m going to love you until the day I die.”
”Wow, you will do anything to get laid, won’t you?”
The supporting characters are just as delightful as our main protagonists. From Maggie’s sister in law Mo who beats her into beauty submission to her mother who knows that “mom” trumps “alpha” every time. We meet some of Maggie’s other pack members who led us on a merry chase as we try to decide if they are friend or foe to our couple. My favorite character has to be Maggie’s cousin Samson. His take on relationships and life leaves you in tears.
“Never underestimate the excitement of sex with the crazy. It’s like a Tilt-A-Whirl and a scary movie all in one.”
The ending was a surprise for me. Just when I thought I knew what would happen, Ms. Harper changed up on me. I was completely wrong about who the real villain was. Ms. Harper kept me in the dark very well on that issue. The romance flourishes and delivers us our happily ever after but with a few twists that adds to the overall thrill.
Though this is the second in the series, it can be read alone. If your looking for a funny, sexy paranormal romance with a dash of mystery that will leave thoroughly entertained then I highly recommend picking up Molly Harper’s How To Flirt With A Naked Werewolf.

Hi Tori,
I read this one last week. It was ok, very funny and I was surprised with the other “vilan”, the real one was my bet from the start. I don’t know why, but I didn’t like it as much as the first one, maybe it was Nick’s instant “I love you and want you”, when Maggie was such a bitch to him all the time? I would give it a C+. The first one was a solid A.

I thought How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf was a little better but this one was still fun to read. I love Samson too! I mean really, how could anyone not? Nice review Tori.

I agree with Dani….I thought this one was missing the magic of the first book. Mo’s “voice” really sparkled in her book. This one fell a little bit flat for me.

I love her sense of humor, these books just make me laugh:) I wasn’t sure I was going to like Maggie since she was a lot to deal with in book 1, but I ended up enjoying her! I was completely clueless as to the villain too, never saw it coming:)

What more can be said about this author that lets her own marvelous sense of humor invade her characters. Every story is so good yet there has always been that wonderful mix of pathos and genuine feeling mixed in with the rib-tickling funny stuff that makes her writing and her stories so winsome. Thanks for such a good review. Got to read this book!
