Uninhibited in Apple Trail, Arkansas anthology contains three novellas, all taking place in the small town of Apple Trail. Each novella can also be bought separately.

Through the Wall

Stephanie works with Parker in his office at the garage he owns and she lives at the apartment next door to him. She also wants to have hot, dirty sex with him – she just needs to figure out how to tell him. Her husband was caught cheating and Parker was there for her for a shoulder to cry on. He protects her, makes her laugh, and now Stephanie wants more from him. And with some liquid courage, she tells him that.

Parker has always had eyes for Stephanie, but he also doesn’t want to be her rebound guy. He doesn’t want just sex, but more. Before he makes a move with Stephanie, he has to wait for her to realize this.

Through the Wall is a very hot novella by Keri Ford. The entire novella is the two  of them discussing the ramifications of having sex and then, well having sex – but it totally works. First of all, they have known each other for a long time and they are both in a place in their life that they are ready for this step – at least with a little prodding. Both characters are very likable and there are some cute moments, especially one involving a hot biscuit tray. Since they live next door to each other, they can hear each other through their shared apartment wall, doing naughty things. I definitely recommend this one if you want something light, quick and very sexy.

On the Fence

Shellie has a very overbearing mother – always telling her what she should be doing and how she should be doing it. She ends up on Riley’s farm to take a break. Her and Riley graduated high school together, but for the past six years they have gone different directions, though staying in touch online. But now that she is with him in person, all those feelings of attraction come to the surface. Riley is hesitant to pursue Shellie though – he got a girl pregnant which ended in abortion and he feels irresponsible and carries guilt.

I didn’t like this one as much as Through the Wall and I think a lot of that has to do with Shellie. She came across kind of pushy with Riley and therefore, the sex scenes seemed more forced. While the sex in Through the Wall seemed to flow much more naturally, this one seemed like a lot more work.

In the Hay

Drew and Nicolette are both visiting the town of Apple Trail. Drew is in town to visit his cousin Riley and help repair his fence. Nicolette is in town to try something new. Actually, many somethings new. She wants to slip and slide in the rain and mud, and walk on a railroad track. She wants to be spontaneous! And she gets her chance when she meets Drew at a bar. After a fast and furious fling, these two want to get to know each other more – and Drew opens Nicolette’s eyes to fun adventures.

In the Hay is the longest of the three novellas and really gives us a chance to meet Drew and Nicolette and watch their relationship go from a one night stand to being an actual couple. Of course, sex scenes rule the book, but we get conflict, a little drama and a more believable happily ever after. Nicolette made me chuckle several times as she has these grand ideas in her head for adventure but they are never quite as fun when she tries them out. Drew is sweet and kind and they make a very hot couple together.

Rating: B

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these three novellas. Very light, cute and quick reads. Will definitely be reading more from Keri Ford.

I loved Through The Wall, just because it was so hot, and the scenes just worked with the characters. I’m reading Through the Fence now, and see what you mean about Shellie. She is fun, but a tad pushy, but I think I might be if I had a Riley waiting for me. :)

I have read about Kelly’s books before, in an Apple Trail week special on another blog I am following, and really liked it. And I really want to try some of those books myself.
