Romantic Christmas stories have to be my secret all time pleasure. Christmas is my favorite holiday with the songs, decorating, and general good natured cheer that seems to to even affect the grumpiest of scrooges. I love reading about those who have given up only to find that wishes do come true for those most deserving.
Here we have three best selling romantic contemporary authors who have complied three sweet second chance stories that is sure to appeal to all those romantic at heart.
Kissing Santa Claus By Jill Shalvis-C+
NASCAR driver Logan Perrish returns to Lucky Harbor, Washington, with love in his heart and a ring in his pocket. But can Sandy Jansen forget the past and give him a second chance? Or will Logan be spending another Christmas alone?
A sweet short novella that gives us a pre Christmas treat when we return to Lucky Harbor to see playboy Logan Perrish fall head over heels for a small town girl and come back to make amends. Misconceptions and doubt are cleared up quickly as Logan and Sandy find their happily ever after.
I’ll Be Home for Christmas by Hope Ramsey-B
After ignoring the advice of Miz Miriam Randall, local matchmaker, Annie Roberts expects another hum drum holiday in Last Chance, South Carolina. But when a stray cat arrives in the arms of Army sergeant Matt Jasper, a calico named Holly just may be the best matchmaker of all.
Last Chance, SC should be renamed Second Chance as our hero and heroine shake off the past and move boldly into a future filled with love. A heartwarming story about a soldier who’s past friendship with a resident of Last Chance has him wanting to experience what his friend took for granted-a home for the holidays.
O Little Town of Bramble by Katie Lane-C
All Ethan Miller wants for Christmas is to celebrate in Bramble, Texas, with family and friends. But when his childhood neighbor, Samantha Henderson, comes home for the holiday, Ethan realizes that the girl-next-door could be the girl of his dreams.
When Sam Henderson walks back in to Ethan’s life he can’t help but notice that she is all grown up but his shyness still prevents him from letting her know his feelings. It will take the crazy residents of Bramble, a live nativity scene, and a baby pig named Sherman to get these two to see that they were made for one another. An adorable and humorous story that will have you laughing and cheering as the shy farmer and the world weary woman figure out what everyone else has always known.

Ramsay’s novella was my favorite as well, it was such a sweet feel-good story, perfect for the holydays. Did you find the stories way too short, even for an anthology? Because I did and I think that they could have added at least one more. This was more to promote the authors and their work, and maybe give the fans an extra bonus (as a huge fan of the Lucky Harbor series I was happy to see Logan’s story) than anything else. The price isn’t bad, but 25% of the book is just preview chapters and promotional stuff…

Like you, I didn’t love this book. The price was right so I don’t feel too bad about it.
Tori says
Yes, a decent anthro for the price but would have liked more content.

I expected more from the Shalvis story. It just came together too perfectly.

I like them myself because often it enables me to get to know some new authors. They are a hit and miss though.

Sounds good, and I love it that in the last novella, there is a shy man. Don’t run into those very often in my books.
Tori says
He is VERY sweet. :)
