Our Authors After Dark Spotlights continue with the very talented erotic romance author, L.A. Witt. Ms. Witt likes to walk on the wild side with her very sexy and highly charged erotic romances that encompass all aspects of erotic sexual play.
L.A. Witt is really *drumroll please* Lori A. Witt. She was born and raised in Seattle, spent five years in Norfolk, Virginia, then moved to Okinawa, Japan, at the end of 2008, where she currently lives with her husband and two cats. In late 2011, she relocated back to the States to spend three years in Nebraska. She write full-time now, but in other times and places, she has worked in everything from customer service to lower management, from jewelry to car rentals to compressed gas equipment to adult film production. She was also a professional photographer at one point, but decided to enjoyed it more as a hobby than a career. Her husband and she still enjoys photography and happen to live in a place that lends itself very well to a couple of shutterbugs. Pictures and tales of their adventures here can be found, in between rantings and commentary on writing, on her personal blog.
L.A Witt currently writes under her name and the pseudonym-Lauren Gallagher. The reasons for two names? Well, Ms Witt feels this allows her fans to know what genre they are getting when they pick up one of her books. Of course, the covers should tell you, but why tempt fate? As L.A. Witt she writes some incredibly hot, smoking m/m erotic fiction who’s protagonists often deal with deep emotional and social issues. As Lauren Gallagher, we get super sexy f/m, m/f/m, and bdsm erotic fiction. Her Reconstructing Meredith, is an Epic Ebook Awards 2012 Finalist.
Currently, Ms. Witt has over 30 titles under her belt.
Ms. Witt has two books coming in April for our reading pleasure.
Coming Soon from L.A. Witt
For The Living
Amber Allure
April 2012
For the last year, Jay Warren has struggled to find the nerve to tell his wife he’s gay. He’s ashamed of hiding it all this time and he doesn’t want to hurt her, so every time he gets the chance to tell her, he freezes up. The guilt has been almost unbearable, but when his wife dies suddenly, Jay’s conscience threatens to eat him alive.
Funeral director Scott Lawson deals with the bereaved every day of his life, and he’s also all too familiar with the inside of the closet. He offers Jay some much-needed compassion and understanding, and from that connection comes a friendship that quickly—perhaps too quickly—turns into something more.
But are grief, guilt, and loneliness the only things tying them together? Or will Scott get tired of being used as an emotional crutch before Jay realizes what he has?

I’m trying to catch up with her m/m backlist and am currently reading The Best Man (2010). So far I haven’t been disappointed by one of her books yet. I just love the plots and characters. And let’s not forget the very hot smexing! :)
Tori says
YES! Plenty of hot smexy times.

I just added Lauren Gallagher to my TBR list – I’ve got four books on my “must buy nowwwwww” list.
I also have the feeling of “Eureka!” and “Duh” now that I know LA Witt and Lauren are the same person. I love it when the pieces fit.
Jill Sorenson says
Thanks, I’ll check it out. It’s nice to see an established m/m author trying a lesbian story.
