Smexy Top Ten-June 29th

June 29, 2012 by Tori 15 Comments

I’m doing this week’s top 10 while Mandi sits on the beach, ogling lifeguards.  I have to be honest,  I salute Mandi doing this every week. Heck, I can’t think of 10 interesting things every month, much less every week.

10.  Hear that sound? That’s hundreds of thousands of SQUEEEEEs because today is the opening day of Magic Mike. Can’t go tomorrow?  Well, here is something to tide you over until you can.

Magic Mike does the Today show.

9. Elizabeth Hoyt’s Thief Of Shadows released this week. ZOMG! I absolutely adore this series and was so excited to get Winter’s story.

A MASKED MAN . . .

Winter Makepeace lives a double life. By day he’s the stoic headmaster of a home for foundling children. But the night brings out a darker side of Winter. As the moon rises, so does the Ghost of St. Giles-protector, judge, fugitive. When the Ghost, beaten and wounded, is rescued by a beautiful aristocrat, Winter has no idea that his two worlds are about to collide.

A DANGEROUS WOMAN . . .

Lady Isabel Beckinhall enjoys nothing more than a challenge. Yet when she’s asked to tutor the Home’s dour manager in the ways of society-flirtation, double-entendres, and scandalous liaisons-Isabel can’t help wondering why his eyes seem so familiar-and his lips so tempting.

A PASSION NEITHER COULD DENY

During the day Isabel and Winter engage in a battle of wills. At night their passions are revealed . . . But when little girls start disappearing from St. Giles, Winter must avenge them. For that he might have to sacrifice everything-the Home, Isabel . . . and his life.

8. Dang, I totally HATE living in Florida. It has more than earned its title of “Lightning Capital of the World.” Last week we had a freak lightning strike, from a cloud free blue sky, that hit in my neighbors yard, travelled underground, entered my dsl cable, and fried my router and desktop.
WTF???
But this necessitated me in needing a new laptop.
YEA!!!
Here is my new precious.

And here is the skin I’m thinking of getting for it.

6. I think we need a break.
A Joe Manganiello break!
Joe was recently on the Wendy Williams show, showing some serious interest in plying Christian Grey in E.L. James blockbuster, 50 Shades Of Grey. You can watch a video of the interview here.

5. I admit I like a good cartoon as much as the next person. Personal fav of mine is Avatar: The Legend Of Korra. I loved the cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender and was thrilled when the story picked up with The Legend of Korra.  I may or may not even have the Playstation version.  :)

Republic City is everything that Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko fought for when they ended the Hundred Year War. With balance restored to the four nations, benders and non-benders can live together in peace, in this thriving metropolitan area. But even the steampunk paradise of Republic City has its problems, as the next Avatar discovers. When Avatar Korra arrives in Republic City to master her airbending, she comes face to face with criminal bending gangs as well as members of a vocal anti-bending revolution. Before long, Korra’s Avatar skills are put to the test when she encounters a group of Chi-blockers led by the charismatic and mysterious Amon, who threatens the city and all the benders in it. Despite the immense danger, Korra vows to fight the growing anti-bending revolution. But will she be able to stop Amon before he rises to power and makes his vision of a bending-free world a reality?

I have watched this cartoon religiously every Saturday. This past Saturday was the season finale. We had heard that is was the finale-finale,  but I have  since learned there will be a season 2. YAY!!  If your curious, you can watch past episodes here.

4. Travel & Leisure magazine recently complied their list of the top 20 worst dressed cities. I’m seriously shocked no city in Florida made that list, ’cause I live here and it is a fashionista nightmare. We make the People Of Walmart look good.

Here is their top 10 worst dressed cities.

10. Kansas City, MO
9. Phoenix/Scottsdale
8. Portland, ME
7. Atlanta
6. Dallas/Fort Worth
5. San Antonio, TX
4. Orlando
3. Baltimore
2. Salt Lake City
1. Anchorage

3. I got nothing.

2. I must have these. I’m claiming yoda.  You can purchase them here.

1.  Cupcakes. Shoes. <3<3<3
Cupcakes Take The Cake  is a blog  totally devoted to the worshiping of cupcakes. *dies*

All this Magic Mike is awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing it with my Best friend. Also, as a Baltimore girl, I’m in agreement with Travel & Leisure picking Baltimore as their number 3. Clearly they’ve been to Dundalk. They are a HOT FREAKIN’ MESS! Lol!

Btw, I always like your Top Ten lists Tori!

Great top ten Tori, I am getting curious to know if Magic Mike will be on the big screen in Holland!
I like that picture of the shopping man! He sure has a right to show his gorgeous body ;)
And those cupcakes are gorgeous, the one who created them is a total genius in my eyes.

Joooooooe. Yummy. When Mike hits the $2 theater, so there!

I like how Atlanta is 7th. We may be bad, but we ain’t that bad. If we’re all ranking on bad Housewives…shouldn’t the OC win with the bad, bad Lycra meets 1980s outfit? And Orlando’s tourism is the reason? I’m just shaking my head.
