Our Authors After Dark Spotlights continue with Damon Suede. He has pretty much lived everywhere and tried every profession, but couldn’t be happier writing stories.
Last summer he released Hot Head to good reviews. It finished #3 in the Goodreads 2011 Best Romance contest.
Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181: Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately Dante is strictly a ladies’ man and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For 10 years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish.
Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do… until Dante is nearly bankrupt and proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay-porn website where uniformed hunks get down-n-dirty… Now Dante wants them to appear there— together.
Griff may have to guard his heart and live out his darkest fantasies on camera. Can he rescue the man he loves without wrecking their careers, their families, or their friendship?
What’s coming next? Copied from his website:
Spring Eternal: A big ole zipper ripper is headed your way! I’m hammering out sexy steampunkery set in a mechanized Manhattan complete with homoerotic heroics and a dastardly abduction to the underbelly of a truly Gilded Age. Expect seductive gadgetry and dapper scoundrels and mythic love that doesn’t run like clockwork… Tickle-tock and bring your wits!
Hard Head: Book Two in the contemporary "Head" series picks up with the story of Tommy Dobsky, the self-destructive paramedic from Hot Head as he navigates the wreckage of his old life and the first glimmers of hope… and honesty. The gang returns as Griff and Dante take the next steps, but the "Hot Hookers" firehouse may be torn apart.

I loved Hot Heads. I don’t think the “Griff” on the cover is perfect enough to portray Griff. He is such a great character and I love him just a little. I so want Griff and Dante to be happy. I’m a little miffed at Tommy but I am hoping he redeems himself in his story. Thanks for featuring this book today!

I read Hot Heads last month. I ate it up and it has kind of ruined me for romance books this summer. All I want now, though, is too see sexy men in kilts. Griff was such a doll.
