One of my favorite things to do is to scan through upcoming releases and prepare my TBR pile to be filled. Here are a few books I’ve found that are coming out in the next couple months that look good to me.
One Good Earl Deserves a Lover by Sarah MacLean – January 29. This is book two in Sarah MacLean’s The Rules of Scoundrels series. This one excites me because the heroine loves science and research. The hero is a bookkeeper of The Fallen Angel, a gaming hell. And I believe he is a ginger. Yessss. Goodreads l Kindle
When She Was Wicked by Anne Barton – January 29. This is a debut author which always interests me. Plus the heroine is a dressmaker and the hero is a duke. Let’s hope it’s cute! Goodreads l Kindle
Be Mine Anthology with Victoria Dahl, Shannon Stacey and Jennifer Crusie – January 22. I don’t think the cover for this one has been released yet, but these three authors together in once book definitely excites me. Victoria Dahl takes us back to Jackson Hole with a story for Nate. Shannon Stacey has a novella about a waitress and restaurant owner Jake and I believe Jennifer Crusie’s contribution is a reissue. Goodreads l Kindle
‘Til the World Ends by Julie Kagawa – January 29. Any time I see Ann Aguirre’s name, I get grabby hands. While I have not read these other two authors, the blurbs look interesting and different. Goodreads l Kindle
Rush by Maya Banks – February 5. New erotic trilogy with billionaire heroes and the women who woo them. I’m always up for that. Goodreads l Kindle
That Scandalous Summer by Meredith Duran – January 29. I love this author’s voice and this book kicks off a new series. I’m so ready. Goodreads l Kindle
Sealed with a Curse by Cecy Robson – December 31. Another debut author and this series is called ‘Weird Girls’ which I approve of. One of them blows up a vampire by accident, which makes me giggle. I may smell a love triangle based on the blurb, but I’m still willing to give this one a try. Goodreads l Kindle
The Seduction of Elliot McBride – December 31. Oh. Ooooooh. This is one of my favorite series and I’m so excited we finally get Elliot’s book. Dying to read this one. (I highly rec the entire series) Goodreads l Kindle
Wild Burn by Edie Harris – January 15. I saw someone people tweeting about this book yesterday and they had great things to say about it. I’ve never read this author and will definitely be trying it. Goodreads l Samhain

Okay so its release date is Dec. 31st, but I’m still going to add it to your list.
Diane Rowland’s Kara Gillian series has a 5th installment called Touch of the Demon. The series is a bit uneven, but I am SO hooked on the lead character. She’s a police detective who can summon demons. Awesome.
Rowland has posted the first two chapters on her website (yea!), as well as a copy of the cover (really not attractive…bummer).

You know – I have had SO many people rec this series to me. I don’t know why I haven’t tried it. I need to. Thanks for the rec

I hope you do try it. Not a series you can jump into mid-stream though, so start with Mark of the Demon. I really would like your take on this series.

Two of my favorite historical authors.. I can’t wait for the Sarah McLean and the Jennifer Ashley. I saw the Sarah McLean on Edelweiss the other day, they just posted it in their digital review copies.

January is looking expensive. I already had the Jennifer Ashley, Sarah MacLean & Maya Banks on my list, and now I’m adding the Meredith Duran & Anne Barton. Plus there are some very late December (Kate Pearce, Elizabeth Essex, Eloisa James, & Stephanie Laurens) and early February (Grace Burrowes) to max out my Visa on. Hope I have room in my e-reader!
Mandi says
Good thing our e-readers can hold a lot of books LOL :)

I’ll second the rec for Diana Rowland’s Demon books. Good mix of romance and the action is well done.
I’m interested in Sarah Maclean’s One Good Earl.. and the Anne Barton book. Although, IIRC didn’t Loretta Chase release one this year about a dressmaker and an earl/duke? (I haven’t read it, so I couldn’t do a comparison)
The sealed with a curse looks interesting.. but I think I’ll let other folks be the guinea pigs on that one.
Mandi says
Yes – Chase has a dressmaker series..we’ll see how this one comapres

I love “to be read” lists! More of this please! And thank you, thank you, thank you for having Goodreads links for all the books you list. I’ve just added the Sarah Maclean, the Meredith Duran and the Anne Barton to my own TBR list.
Thanks!

I don’t think I could live without Goodreads :)
I’ll try to do this every month:)
