So all of my friends have been telling me to read Reaper’s Property by Joanna Wylde. I have had recs that have said – “You must read. You’ll hate-read it. Hero is a complete douche, yet lovable too.” or “Hero’s name is Horse, you can guess why” I’ve heard if you like Sons of Anarchy or Motorcycle Man you will like this book.
Why do we have weaknesses for the asshole (yet lovable) hero?? It’s on my kindle. I shall read soon… Goodreads l Kindle l Ellora’s Cave
Blurb:
Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.
But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.
Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.
Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.
I saw Holly rec this one on Twitter as being a favorite reread of hers and then many others piped up about how good this series is. I saw lots of love on Goodreads for the hero is this book. Fall Into Me is actually book seven – I believe they can be stand alones, but I’ve started with book three, Hold Onto Me. They are romantic suspense books – sexy ones at that.
Here is the goodreads series list and a link to her Amazon store. For those that like romantic suspense, I think you might like this series (I’ve only read book 3, starting book 4 next!)
Do you have any books we need to be aware of?? Share away!

My friend at book club just recommended Reaper’s Property to me today. What a coincidence. I think we have a weakness for assholes because we want to believe that they can change. We want to get through that tough exterior & find out whats going on inside thats making them such a jackass! We want to understand, and then we want to heal them & make them whole again. My all-time favorite male hero, Jericho Barrons, was a mean jackass through most of the Fever series. It wasn’t till a few books later that we find out why he was such a cold, ruthless asshole. He stopped at nothing to help his son. After finding out his motives, his behavior is understandable & forgivable. Setting aside his physical desirability, I hated him at times couldn’t figure out Mac’s attraction to him. As the books went on, we saw glimpses of kindness & his dedication to her. I rooted for him & I rooted for her to help him. I think that Barrons is the classic ‘jackass hero’ that many of us rooted for to become the good guy. He’ll always be a jerk, but its to protect the people he loves & I love him for that :) I hope that this is the case for Ryoden as well…I’m hopeful that he gets a softer side in ‘Burned’ & ‘Flayed’. I want to love him, not just screw him ;) ;)

Yes – as long as there is something to root for…no matter how deep or hidden the hero keeps it, then assholes work for me. LOL
Ryodan is going to be an awesome hero come end of book 3

Did someone say Ryodan??
Recipe for Satisfaction was a pretty good start to a new series. Hero has a tongue ring. ;)
