[May’s] Smexy Top 10 May 3rd edition

May 3, 2013 by admin 17 Comments

How great it it that it is the first week of May, and I (May) am in charge of the top 10? This week I’m taking over to make sure this week we have nothing but pure classiness and grace while Mandi is away working really hard at RT2013. We’ll look at really great educational stuff. Tori sent me this link to a video of a very wholesome family at a drive-through zoo. That’s the kind of high quality content I’m talking about. You know I always keep it clean….

10. Wait, did I say clean? classy? I meant klassy. with glitterballz and tweet updates like this one from Mandi.

Doesn’t she look fabulous? It’s clear all her runs have been paying off. You go girl (or are you going exclusively by the nickname sweet ass now?)! Ahem. and she even has white pants on just like the dancers. Hmmm wait a minute now… is this a posed photo or was she a part of the show?

Don’t stop the party! Get it going with Mr. Worldwide Mandi!

Now that we’ve got permission to cut loose, hang on ladies. I’m ready to get dirty… oh but not too dirty. I won’t use the word peen. or pintle. or cock. or pants candy. or talk about hairy chests. or men who work out in warehouses while shirtless with scars displayed for all to see. Oh wait, I’m May so I ABSOLUTELY will!! Lets get it on ladies.

9. Dirty? Scruffy? Tortured and dark? Yes please! I do love the show Arrow. Oh, and now there is an Oliver Queen statue? Oh hello Mr. Arrow!

I must admit it disappoints me that they don’t have an action figure (complete with scars) that has removable clothing and a warehouse for him to practice working out in. I’d totally buy that. Somebody make this happen. If you’re not familiar with Arrow, you should be. It lands somewhere between super hero and vigilante. I *love* it. If Arrow had the Friends theme song, it’d look like this FYI:

I love that making “if ___ show had Friends theme song” videos is a thing right now. LOVE.

8. There is skinny girl sangria, so why not mangria? This is actually a real thing, dreamed up by Adam Carolla.

My husband is a big Carolla fan and he purchased some of this. He says it is good, I say it’s just ok. But then again, I am known for being picky. Just ask Tori. Lately I’ve been a beer girl. Blue Moon’s Agave Nectar Ale is my drink of choice at the moment. It’s gooooood.

7. Well, I suppose I should try to clean it up and work some book-related news in here somewhere. The thing that has me most excited is that the week of my birthday (and yes, I’m SURE that was intentional) Dan Brown’s fourth Robert Langdon novel Inferno releases. Is anyone counting the days with me? Only like 10 more days to go… and my schedule is CLEARED for it. I’m so ready!

6. Speaking of clearing my calendar for a book, who else is counting days to Michael’s story?! The epic book by Meljean Brook is coming August 6th. I can’t wait, and FYI you can check out chapter #1 now on her site here. If you’re not reading this series – why not? Love it.

5. Switching back to dirty talk… are you watching Game of Thrones? I dubbed this last week’s episode game of peens. Because hello, deflowering of virgin, M/M lovin, and even some Kingslayer ballshot? oh yeah. Now I just wish Funny or Die would get their Gay of Thrones recap for the week done! Have you seen it? The guy is so funny, I love his recaps. Straight up Valerian realness. haha.

4.  Do you dance while doing housework? I tend to get into my own personal jam sessions and the music that has been making me dance about while doing housework lately is Olly Murs. He has a song with Flo Rida, but I really am loving the song Dance With Me. Bonus points to Olly for being cute in a scruffy hipster way. Here’s a behind the scenes (Troublemaker) video where you can hear his cute accent…

3. This just in: Sandition starts May 13th! I can’t wait to join Gigi Darcy of Pemberly Digital on her new adventure! Hooray! Will we see Fitz? (I hope so!) What will happen in the sunny California town as they test out Pemberly’s Domino app? I don’t actually know – but I’m excited! yay! The series twitter account is here – and I’m guessing the Pemberly Digital account on YouTube is where episodes will post but I don’t know.

2. Let’s talk Stephen Amell.

Yes we already spoke of Arrow but seriously. Have you not seen him without a shirt?

He gets two spots on this top 10, I warned Mandi it couldn’t be helped back when she asked me to do a top 10. And being how it’s my week + my month (May), well, indulge me please. You need to know that:

  • a) he is often sweaty and topless and/or in leather in Arrow which makes it worth watching… but it’s also a good show so bonus.
  • b) his Twitter is worth following. He frequently posts lady boner inspiring photos and/or vine posts.
  • c) he’s going to be starring in a made for TV movie as a Canadian Mountie. WHAT?! While I fear it may be awful, my ovaries just exploded anyway. I mean that body + outdoorsman role? Oh. My. YES. Oh but one more,
  • D) his birthday is this week! Happy Birthday Stephen! If you need a workout partner, give me a call.

1. Movies! Did anyone see Pain & Gain? It has The Rock + Marky Mark so srsly you know there is some inspiring bulge going there. Mandi has no love for these guys. I don’t know what is wrong with her. Also: why has Hollywood not done more movies about weightlifting bad boys? Though the “based on true story” aspect of this kinda deflates the hotness a bit. I wish they’d have made up a fictional story. Because the prison photos of the guys (who fyi, are on death row)? yeah. lady boner killer. ANYHOW! I will wait for video and watch on mute for eye candy.

Thor 2 is coming. I asked my husband if he’d go check out the might of Thor’s hammer. He’s not into movies (seriously. at all). So looks like I’ll be going solo on that one.

Also, did you read this post on the update of Magic Mike 2?

“We’re actually talking about the possibility of doing the prequel,” co-star Joe Manganiello told Hollywood.com in June of 2012. “Because if you do the sequel, then you lose Mike. Otherwise, what’s Mike going to do? He’s going to come back for one big heist … so, you would do the prequel — how they got there.”

Go ahead and sign me up for this right. now. I think prequel would = more male nudity + more comedy and less angst. I’m ready for you Big Dick Richie + Channy Tay Tay. I’m so ready.

I think there’s no topping that, so I will wish you all a weekend filled with haPenis!! I’m going to go put my feet in the pool, have a cocktail, and read something (hopefully) good!

Blue Moon’s Agave Nectar Ale is so delicious.

I’m kinda iffy about Sanditon but I’ll give it a shot.

I’m really looking forward to Inferno, but I hope he doesn’t try to pull this series out too much longer. Any more and I’m going to start to worry it’s turning into a cozy mystery series.

This will be the fourth book… honestly I don’t know if I could get tired of them. As long as there is deeply interesting history + thriller + twists aspect. As long as he keeps the quality high and the books only coming every few years… I could handle a lot more Robert Langdon.

If Robert starts going domestic, gets a steady girl, that kind of thing? No thanks. Yeah don’t go getting cozy mystery on us Mr. Brown!!

I would *LOVE* to see him on an adventure in South America though. Or maybe another part of Europe. Or Asia… oh heck I’m just gonna take whatever I can get!!

Blue Moon rocks, but my current fav is Shocktop’s Honeycrisp Apple. YUMMMMy first thought re the Arrow statue was…do his clothes come off? And thank you for the Gay of Thrones recaps. They are hilarious.

May, I thought I was the only one who liked “Arrow”. And I confess I just started to watch it because I thought SA was hot. But then it grew on me. It’s incredible how great he is at wearing a suit and being shirtless. ;)

As for the action figure, I don’t care much for the clothes. He comes naked and scarred and I’ll buy it. (Hm, a life-sized action figure? OMG)

My boyfriend loves to watch Arrow, but I think for other reasons than you do. At least I hope so ;)

I love Arrow – the show and I love Stephen Amell – preferably shirtless. Shallow. I know! But I find myself not caring :)
