I’ve been out of town this week at the Book Expo of America’s Book Blogger Conference and my youngest has a field trip today so I have had no time to do a top ten list. Sadness!
I will say the Blogger Convention was fun. I was on a panel with Sarah from Smart Bitches, Jim Hines, and Rebecca from Book Riot and we talked about how we built our blog audience, how bloggers need to be honest and credible and we had some laughs.
I also had a chance to go to the Cosmo Red-Hot Reads launch party. They have teamed up with Harlequin for a new line of books. Two 30,000 word books will come out each month, with Afterburn by Sylvia Day kicking it off.
Rachel from Parajunkee and I had a lot of fun being at the Cosmo magazine offices. So fancy.
Due to my kids having a million things happening with the end of their school year, I had to skip out on the actual BEA action happening Thursday-Saturday, but there are a lot of bloggers there tweeting about it if you want to see what it is all about. I’m definitely going to try to go next year as it is in NYC. In 2015 it moves to Chicago.
And since I haven’t even mentioned a hairy chest or moob and it’s FRIDAY- I leave you with this from Men’s Health Magazine.
If only Joe Manganiello would climb me like that.
What?
Oh look – Joe heard me…that is his – come-hither look.
Happy Friday. Have a great weekend. Top Ten will be back next week!

If BEA is moving to Chicago in 2015, I’m most definitely going to go in 2014. I’m NYC so it literally is a hop on train than bus for me. Since I went the first time in 2011, I’m absolutely addicted. This year I could only take off one day from work to go, and I had a plan. 1st hit all the romance booths–DreamSpinner, Ellora’s Cave, RWA, Harlequin and Shamin (sp? It’s an m/m line). 2nd: talk to at least one other librarian there (hey, it’s is supposed to be about business), and 3. get a couple of free pens. Although I missed Jill Shalvis and Kristin Higgens’ signing by 30 minutes (*waaah*), I did get to me some of the authors on my TBR pile–Bella Andre, Eloisa James, and Maya Rodale. By the time I met Maya, I was a babbling mess and it showed. I ended up blurting out “I’m spazzing out. Authors are my celebrities and I’m totally spazzing!”

I so love conventions! I have been to a small one in Germany, but it is so worth the 8 hour drive! There is nothing better than to mingle with other book lovers and authors.
