Who is Eden Summers? Give us the low down.
I’m a happily married, Australian mother of two young boys. I love to dance and sing, although I’m not great at either. I try not to take life seriously, but do have a habit of stressing too much and I’m also a perfectionist.
First, I have to say this cover is gorgeous. So sexy. Can you share with us who designed it and a bit about how it was developed?
The cover was designed by a very talented Aussie author friend of mine – Willsin Rowe. Choosing the right person to do the job was hard. I knew exactly what I wanted, but didn’t feel comfortable asking a close friend to do it because I didn’t want to offend them if I hated the end result. But after informing Willsin of my tendency to be high maintenance and describing exactly what I wanted, he left me feeling more than comfortable.
The first design he sent through brought tears to my eyes. It was almost exactly what I envisaged. A few tweaks later and it was perfect.
With all the awesome comments I’m getting on the cover design, I hope he is willing to do the second book in the series.
Let’s talk about the hero, Mitchell Davies. The blurb says he is a rock star. Is he a very well known guy? Bad boy? Does he sing, play an instrument. We need details!
Mitchell Davies is the gorgeous lead guitarist of Reckless Beat. He’s famous, wealthy, add a dash of arrogance and a whole heap of sarcasm and that’s him.
He isn’t a bad boy, more like the seducer of the group, along with Mason – the lead singer. The bad boys would be Blake, on bass, and Sean on Drums. Which leaves the hard done by, good guy, Ryan, on rhythm guitar.
It seems as if the heroine, Alana has been brought up in a strict household. Is the bad boy rocker going to break down her boundaries or is she the one that is going to change his life?
Alana has had a restricted upbringing. Her home is a retreat for women recovering from abuse, a place that her mother established when Alana was young. She was homeschooled and because of the fear of men surrounding where she’s grown up, she hasn’t been around guys much at all.
So she has a lot to learn from her first proper trip away from home.
Without giving too much away, Mitchell teaches her the ways of the world and introducers her to a heap of things she never thought she could have. Alana in return shows Mitchell what it’s like to love.
Do you have a favorite rock band or a singer that was an inspiration for this book?
Daughtry has been an enormous inspiration, not only for Blind Attraction but the entire series I have planned. I’ve been listening to their music constantly for six months, much to my husband’s disgust. I have one CD in the family car, another in our work car and the third in the home stereo.
The lyrics to their songs tell a story and relate a lot to what my guys go through. And some of the more hard rocking songs sound like what Reckless Beat play.
I see this is the start of a series…can you give us any information about future books? Another rock star hero?
I’ve planned out five books in the series so far, with each of the Reckless Beat rockers having their own story. At the moment I’m not releasing details on who will come next, but each book has been mapped out and the second story already started.
