Guest Author Zoe Archer

June 11, 2013 by Mandi 16 Comments

We are happy to have Zoe Archer stopping by Smexy today to celebrate the release of her new book, Sweet Revenge! Take it away, Zoe…

We’re heading into the summer months, which means that it will soon be too hot to cook. So what dishes are best served cold?

  • Gazpacho
  • Ceviche
  • Sushi
  • Vichyssoise
  • Caesar Salad
  • Ice Cream Sundaes
  • Revenge

SWEET REVENGE is the first book in my new historical romance series, NEMESIS, UNLIMITED. The men and women of Nemesis, Unlimited work secretly to right wrongs and get justice for those who cannot get it for themselves. The series delves into Victorian England’s gritty underbelly and as well as the glittering echelons of high society. It’s a world that’s highly stratified, one that favors the rich over the poor, men over women, those in power against those without. And when the law fails, and you want revenge against those who’ve harmed you, Nemesis is there to seek vengeance—at any cost.

Granted, their methods can be a bit…cold. Nemesis isn’t above breaking a few laws to get what they want. So when a corrupt nobleman ruins a young girl, Nemesis blackmails escaped convict Jack Dalton into helping destroy the aristocrat. Jack has grown up rough on the streets of London, and always made his living with his fists. He doesn’t want to destroy the nobleman—he wants to kill him for murdering Jack’s sister.

Eva Warrick is one of Nemesis’s top agents. She’s tough as nails, and perfectly willing to use Jack to bring the aristocratic wrongdoer to justice. Though Eva may appear cool and calculating, she has a secretly passionate heart—something she fights when she sparks off of Jack. They may be cold-blooded in their pursuit of revenge, but there’s nothing frosty about the unwanted, explosive attraction between her and the street brawler.

So this summer, when you’re thinking about what’s good served cold, revenge is always on the menu. And if you want something hot, then consider the romance between Jack and Eva in SWEET REVENGE. They say a good sweat can really cool you off. *g*

Question and giveaway time! What’s your favorite food or dish served cold? Leave a comment, and one winner will receive a copy of SWEET REVENGE (US and Canada only).

Sweet Revenge: A Nemesis, Unlimited Novel

Book 1

The first in a breathtaking new series about the dangerous business of undercover revenge—and the undeniable pleasure of passion…

In the business of vengeance

When Jack Dalton escapes from Dunmoor Prison, he has only one thing in mind—finding the nobleman who murdered his sister and making him pay. But when he reaches the inn where the Lord Rockley is rumored to be staying, three well-dressed strangers are there to meet him instead. And the pretty blonde is aiming a pistol right at his head …

Desire is always dangerous

Joining Nemesis, Unlimited has made Eva Warrick much more than the well-mannered lady she appears to be—one who can shoot, fight, and outsmart any man in the quest to right the injustices so often suffered by the innocent. She’s not afraid of the burly escaped convict, but she is startled by their shared attraction. She and her partners need Jack’s help to get to Rockley, but Eva finds she wants Jack for scandalous reasons all her own…

Zoë Archer is an award-winning romance author who thinks there’s nothing sexier than a man in tall boots and a waistcoat. As a child, she never dreamed about being the rescued princess, but wanted to kick butt right beside the hero. She now applies her master’s degrees in Literature and Fiction to creating butt-kicking heroines and heroes in tall boots. She is the author of the acclaimed BLADES OF THE ROSE series and the paranormal historical romance series, THE HELLRAISERS. She and her husband, fellow romance author Nico Rosso, created the steampunk world of THE ETHER CHRONICLES together. Her new gritty Victorian romance series, NEMESIS, UNLIMITED, launches this Spring. Zoë and Nico live in Los Angeles.

I’m so excited for this! A friend of mine said it was “Victorian-era Leverage.” Which immediately made me add it to my To-Read list. Love Leverage! LOL

I love Zoe’s books because they are always a little different. This one comes at Victorian Society from another side…love it!

My favorite food served cold is our family’s Avocado dip. It’s not guacamole but dip base of cottage cheese, sour cream & cream cheese and seasoned with garlic powder, salt, lemon juice and as many avocados as you can afford–2 to 3, lol. Served with salty potato chips and I’m in heaven :-)
