Author Avery Flynn: Hot Zombie Hunters

Hey Good Looking: Hot Zombie Hunters By Avery Flynn

First, let me apologize, Mandi, because Channing Tatum is not on this list. If he would just make a zombie movie I’d totally add him to my hottest zombie hunters list (what, like you don’t have one). But, alas, he has not, so I have to enjoy him singing Channing All Over Your Tatum on Jimmy Kimmel instead.

In my latest release, Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies, the hero Jax is a total hottie zombie hunter. The mmm-mmm good kind. But he’s not the only one out there. Here, in no particular order, are my top five hot zombie hunters.

cillian-murphy-in-time

Cillian Murphy, 28 Days Later

Have you seen his cheekbones? He could cut a zombie’s head off with those things. Add in the soulful blue eyes and the air of mystery and I am there.

simonpegg2

Simon Pegg, Shaun of the Dead

Who doesn’t love a ginger who is funny and knows where to find a good beer even during a zombie apocalypse? Shaun of the Dead is my favorite zombie movie ever and I have a complete crush on Simon Pegg, so you know he had to make the list.

daryl-

Norman Reedus, The Walking Dead

Open the dictionary and flip to badass and you find Daryl Dixon. The arms. The motorcycle. The softie hidden behind the tough-guy exterior. Yes. A thousand times, yes. He is my TV boyfriend, so all the rest of you can get in line behind me and I warn you now, I’m not moving out of the way any time soon.

steven_yeun_99

Steven Yeun, The Walking Dead

Glenn is total hero material. Cute, loyal, alpha when he needs to be and he loves his girl. Seriously, who didn’t want to curl into a little ball and cry when Glenn heard Maggie being tortured by the Governor? The pain and agony on his face when he couldn’t help her was heartbreaking. And then he killed a zombie practically no handed. Total. Stud.

Woody

Woody Harrelson, Zombieland

Okay, I admit I’d feel pretty dirty the next morning, but there is something about Woody Harrelson that says he would be a real good time. TMI? Yeah, sorry about that. His character in Zombieland is obsessed with Twinkies. I can’t imagine he’d take Hostess going out of business well.

So who makes your hot zombie hunter list?

Don’t let the fun end now. Enter to win a Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies prize pack (including a Shaun of the Dead DVD, zombie hunting license and more) from Avery Flynn and a $25 Amazon gift card!

I GUESS I will forgive you for not including Channing. Maybe in Magic MIke #2, his day job will be zombie hunting. As long as he still “dances” at night ;)

We need to start a Kickstarter campaign to make that happen.

Love Zombieland! Bill Murray steals his scenes! My first zombie books were Laurell K Hamilton’s Anita Blake series. Nice mix of every paranormal group. Love Jax’s story too!

Bill Murray was hysterical in Zombieland. You’re totally right.
